C2 Custom Axial Jeep Nukizer 715

Had an amazing time at the G6 today. We do a trail run then a timed run. The Nukizer is the only 1.9 that finished the course on the trail run without hog. Only issue was the steering link screw fell out of the servo. Still finished by backing up a lot t get her in the right direction.

Had some time to throw some more SSD goodness at this rig.

Servo mount...nothing special there.

Titanium steering links and front lower suspension links.

An OX Winch. Rpp had them on sale and then you throw the July 4th sale on top and I couldn't say no. ;)

That winch is a thing of beauty and it fits the front end perfectly!!!

Thanks griz, I agree 100%

Had it at the g6 that turned into a trail run yesterday. Rig is performing amazingly well and the OX winch is straight up beast!

what's the update now?

Just some small stuff.

I noticed the front diff cover was already showing wear so I ordered the ssd HD cover. Along with the aluminum 4link mount. I noticed regularly that the servo twisted the plastic one in a bind.

While getting ready for crawlapalooza I decided to beef up the rear end. Brass tubes and al bearing clamps. It's a good thing to as the rear axle was a little rusty and the bearings needed replaced.

And I slapped a fresh coat of paint on it. Ready to scratch it up on the Oklahoma rocks ;)

I had a great time at crawlapalooza with the nukizer. Did really well in the comp section. Then took 3rd place in the hill climb.

Today she ran in our first annual TTC. The jeep killed it and took first overall after 7 grueling events.

I have Velcro on the roof that attaches to the internal roll cage and some on the back of the truck bed.

I took the motor and trans out as I want to see how bad it is....dang. Just full of mud.

Luckily the motor only had water in it and the front bearing was shot. Thankfully it's the same size bearing as most 540 brushed motors so I stole one to use.

Now it's back and installed in a fully bombproof trans I had originally in the Brodozer.

I know that in my other threads I've given so much praise to the tekin roc412 2300kv and the hh puller pro brushless motors are getting a ton of love these days.
I've been running this hh trailmaster pro 3300kv motor for the whole summer and I can't speak highly enough about it! I got it as a warranty replacement for a hh trailmaster brushless gen 1. Even though it's only 2 pole, It has amazing slow speed control, even though I have it geared higher than most would.

The top end is outstanding and the torque is more than enough. I run on 3s most of the time but ran the mud pit on 4s. Even when the hyrax tires were digging down in the thick clay, the motor kept on churning.

It was easy to waterproof and has been doing great after all the abuse I out it through. Would highly recommend for a 1.9 rig, even with some weight.

Wow it's been a while since this thread was updated. Not much happened to the truck since the rebuild after the last ttc.

Switched over to pitbull rb xl. Not because I didn't want the hyrax. But because I put the hyrax on my comp truck since the pitbulls didn't work as well.

Entered another TTC a couple weekends ago and dominated the 1.9 class...again

I heard a little jumping of gears. Not sure if it was front or back axle.

Decided to upgrade to a bombproof setup. Loved the SSD diamonds on my brodozer so figured there'd be the right fit. Plus I needed the ssd d60s for another project.

While looking at these axles, I realized it would be pretty easy to narrow xr mod the front.

Luckily I have some spare wraith parts laying around.

One long side axle that broke.

I also pulled the axle from my scx10 2 to see if by chance it would work. Sadly the output yoke is too short.

The wraith chub fits perfect. Just comparing to the ssd scx chub

I cut the wraith axle I had to length and ground some flats.

Before putting it back together I found some vanquish chubs from another build. They're silver but fit nice and snug. Maybe I'll paint them....

I just need to find another xr10 or wraith long side uni to cut down and she'll be set.

I got the xr mod done. Cut down two old wraith unis to make the axles.

I went with ssd original scale knuckles as the link mount is lower. This rig sits real low on a stock scx10 chassis so the servo link has to go low.
