BVRC's CRC XV-01

winter tires...

On the left are some of the rally legends tires, they're pretty soft. I put foams in them but they are very low profile foams. The tires feel flat. I think this might be good for the snow/ice race though...

On the right, are spikes rally blocks (not for race use).

yeah I'm not running them on the track, but I do want to play with them...

Well if they do close the lake early you can run them on the big rink at full speed to test them out. :lmao:

I'll try to keep up!

I use the stock 0.3mm washer along with one 0.1mm washer. This is on the inside of both output cups.

turned the shocks all the way down in the rear? stiffer is better?
i turned mine down half way but mine are the stock pro kit ones..
seems to handle jumps better.

The super soft springs I like are too short for the shock bodies I prefer, hence why they are cranked down like you see above. My car rides on the softer side of things. It doesn't look like it, because I run these frankenstein shocks, but it's pretty soft.

i didnt shim my diffs at all when building mine. do you find that a necessary step to having them last?

i havent put power to anything in mine yet.

I don't think the shims are absolutely necessary, but they do help in my opinion. I think the extra 0.1mm in each side helps keep things tight (but not too tight) as well as prevents leaks. I've run these diffs with the shims and without. Honestly I can't tell a difference while driving, but like I said I do think shimming ensures a long life for the diff.
