Brood or HH?

I agree with the fact that if eddie didnt own a crawler it doesnt mean his motors are bad. Just because the president wasnt in the military doesnt make him a bad president...oh wait...forget I said that. I dont own either but someday when i get my big boy pants on and get a good crawler I will be in the same situation. Prices are in the same ballpark so you cant rule on that alone. This is tougher than MOA/shafty berg/bully. Both companies have great quality and customer service. I bet the one bad feedback from holmes was a big misunderstanding and or they customer was mistaken. I am sure John would have done all he could. Good luck on making your decision. maybe you could sell some blood and get both. then post your results.

Both make excellent motors. I lean more on Eddie though because I have ran their motors from racing to crawling. Always smooth and I run stuff from John that is equally as good. You cant go wrong with either guy "thumbsup"

HH, is all I got in over 50 of my rigs.:shock: I order them a dozen at a time.

I just threw some Brood 45T motors in my super and am REALLY impressed with them! Plenty of torque, low speed control and wheelspeed!

Thanks for all the input and reply's. Im sorry that the bashing started, that was never my intention and I hate seeing it. I have used HH products in the past and I couldn't be happier with them and the customer service that I have seen John provide is amazing. I have zero experience with brOOd, but I have seen equal quality and service from brOOd on this sight.

I think what I am going to do is wait a little longer and save a little more money (hard to do with 4 kids) and buy both. I think it is awesome that we are so fortunate to have 2 amazing motor builders here and I want to support them both.

Thanks HH and Team brOOD.

I will be sure to let you guys know the results of each motor after I have ran them.

not trying to stir up the pot, but does jrh crawl?

not saying you need to crawl to know how to build a motor or even own a crawler as long as u can make a product thats useful.

We have been winding and selling crawler motors since 2005.....thats 5 years for slow people who can't count. A lot of the companies selling crawler motors were buying them from us and relabeling them as their own, some still do. We've had crawler motors on our website since 2006.....

this could be the time to chime in and let us know whos labeling their motors as yours... if u can

btw.. now that ur not on "vacation", brood motors will be my only application."thumbsup"

Been crawling and competing since 2004. I haven't been competing much in the past year while getting my masters degree, just not enough time in the day and I didn't want to burn myself out on it. Now that I have my masters, I have more free time and have been getting out the scalers and comp rigss for some bashing and product development. I may or may not start competing nationally again, I actually have a ton of fun going without competing at the events.

Congrates on the masters, "thumbsup" Now get out on the rocks and kick some butt.

All I can say is Ive been running my hand wound brood 30t in my scaler and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Everywhere I go everytime I run it I get asked if im running brushless. When I say no, they all want one. BrOOd has my vote and business hands down. "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

John crawls! i personaly crawl with him! fun guy to be around and will anwser any question you have about any one of his products and get to see some bad ass stuff :ror:

Met JRH at nats 08', a very cool guy. You can't go wrong on either motors, but i'd support John.

I run Johns motors and ESC's in most of my rigs, the rigs I comp with! I have never had a single prob out of any of his products! His customer service is second to none! Shipping is super fast! I like to think of Johns stuff as "Sleepers", they don't come in a fancy package but they kick ass when you need them! And it's hard to beat his prices for what you get;-)

Ive ran plenty of both, prefer Team Broods, for me, they have been better motors in all types of conditions but they are both the best so its a eany meany miny mo (I spell that right?) Doesnt matter who is selling the product or what they do off the sight, crawl or not crawl, been here for ever or not, dont care personally...have a good product and that will sell your name with it, which BOTH have done. Hell, if both want to sponsor me, I'll run one up front and one in back lol.

This is turning into the "Glock vs XD" all over again....

No shit. There isn't this much hostility between us and other battery vendors on here, and I can get fisty. Not to say they are battling each other.

I have never ran either to be honest. The Novaks I run now, are the highest end crawler motors I have owned. I personally like having a motor that will let my axles live. It is 1 thing to have the bestest motors in the whole wide world of unicorns, BUT if you break shit, then that motor doesn't do you any good.

I would like a little better throttle control though, and snappier power.

Personally, I would go with a Holmes. Not to say Br00d is no good. I have just ben an E-Friend with Holmes for several years now, and the amish dude isn't half bad. Plus, I am not a big fan of big flashy pizaz. Holmes definitely is the sleeper motor. Not everyone knows about him, but his products are good, he knows what he is talking about, and he has great customer service. Maybe I am just a fag, but I like.
