Blue WPL C54 80 Series Land Cruiser

Hey, great thread update. I WISH more people were into these as they are great basis for the tinkerer
as WPL stuff allows you to take an inferior product [by popular consensus] ;-) and make it better. Or break
it first and then repair/upgrade.

Good review of those two aftermarket aluminum rims. The latter are better, I agree, as they look more realistic.

Didn't know it at first, but WPL did a good job on the V4 rims and tires. Turns out they copied the TRD bead lock style wheels (part# PTR18-35090-BR)...

The V4 tires are more generic but are close to BFGOODRICH® All-Terrain T/A KO2

How hard was it to get the tire on after all that solder?

Those wheels he has are three-piece beadlocks so I imagine he could stuff the center piece with the solder on it into the tire first, and then just 'sandwich' the two wheel halves on either side and finally screw the assembly together. "thumbsup"
