hello guys im doing some online shopping today, so i can finally upgrade my brand new never used scx10..i WANT A GOOD BRAND... im going to buy esc and motor and lipo baterry with the charger.. i want a esc with lipo cut off so i don't need to worry about how low is the charge on the baterry. can you guys tell me whats a good esc and motor for my scx10? im just planing to used it as a rock crawler.. i dont need a lot of speed. here is the truck..

If you have the stock axial ae-2 then i wouldn't upgrade the esc. It already has a lipo cut off and you could just get a tekin 35t pro motor, but if ou want a esc and motor combo the tekin fxr with 35t pro is a good choice. For a charger I'm going to get the dynamite prophet sport duo dual charger. For a battery i like the traxxas 2 cell 2200 mah battery but you can go with any battery. Amainhobbies.com has a great selection of batteries. Hoped this helps.

Holmes hobby BRXL esc and a good 35t motor. tekin pro handwound 35t, it gives alot of low end torque but it gives wheel speed where an when you need it

+1 I run the Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster Pro 35t and BRXL esc on 3s with 12/60 (32p) gears and it works great. Enough wheel speed when you want it but tons of low end. The BRXL also has a 6V output BEC so it's nice if you don't want to mess with a external one.

Great choice on the fx-r! The tekin pro.. handwounds are nicer..
Im a Holmes guy myself. I run fx-r's with handwound HH motors on 4 setups.. the best low end idle crawl up to running a 4s on my 35t HH in my scaler.. with a 25v capacitor.. all season, so far.

Lipo! 2s if ur not use to crawling or go straight to 3s an have a blast! Hahahahahaha.. then you can start upgrading parts sooner! Good choice on the esc, motor combo

I use Venom batteries and a venom charger. They work great. The charger is way more than what I need, it'll charge anything, anywhere. One thing I like about the charger is that you can hook it up to ur car battery and charge one. So you can drive in the morning, then re-charge it while you eat lunch, then drive in the afternoon. It works great. From empty battery to full charge it takes about an hour. I use a venom 5000 mah 2s lipo. Here's a link to the charger...

IMO holmes brxl and 45t torque master pro handwound, esc can be waterproofer from factory, amazing warranty and customer service, fully tuneable using the castle link, i use a 80t spur for wheel speed but easily controlable at low speeds, and if you want more torque get the custom built high fill armature for $5 more.. for the combo waterproofed and custom built itl be $161, i personally run the fxr with the 45t torque master pro and wish i spent a little extra on the brxl

also make sure you get a bec, the 10A castle one is all you need, will def save issues later i know the fxr doesnt like running 3s without a bec,
