Because I’m jealous of my wife’s rig, scale truck build

Cut out the section of the interior to fit the body over the winch. Looks pretty dang good now. Sliders tie right into the bed, will keep the cab from being damaged now.

I have more stuff on the way, a new front reinforced body mount that has the cut out for the winch, it’s actually a totally different design. But it allows the winch cable to pass through without interfering with the body. Right now it’s sitting just above where it mounts.

Watching your build finally pushed me over the edge on ordering one of these bodies. I got the LWB version in the same color. Chassis rails just showed up from SendCutSend last week. Hope to have some time this weekend to start building. Until then, I will continue to enjoy your pretty pictures.

Ya' know, that truck as a 1:1 wouldn't do a thing for me.
However, as a scale R/C it's incredible! Love it!

I feel the same now that I think about it. I love a single cab but I have 3 kids so it would never work for me 🤣. I’ve wanted to do a scale build for years now and the lc70 always has been top of my want to do list for it. It’s a pita sometimes but the end result looks good, I’m happy for that lol

Look forward to seeing it! The body itself isn’t hard, just adding all the scale details is tricky and takes patience, which is something I do not have.

I hope to get some beach pics here soon, just too busy enjoying the water!

Crossing my fingers that I got the chassis design right, and everything fits on the first go around. Still need to figure out my bumper situation, and hope that the Holmes 2in1 comes back into stock soon.

I really should start posting pics of my builds. There's a local beach spot here that has some of the best lines around, and makes for some great photo ops.

Nice little Scaletra Father’s Day trail run today with my oldest son and his optic. Found plenty of scale mud to run the LC through.

It was a good time! I enjoy driving this thing in a scale fashion so much. Just letting the tiny tires bite and pull the truck through that nasty mud is therapeutic.

Received some parts that I’ve been wanting to swap out on the truck. Just to make my life easier.

New body mount with the area left open for the winch line.

Old. I cut it to not interfere with the line until the new one came in

New!

Also a quick detach body mount. Used to use big ol hexes and it’s kind of a pain

New one- you just pull down and the body releases.

Messing around with some bed accessories. It’s hard to find a spot for the Jerry can, it’s just taller than I’d like it to be.
