Bay City or Tri Citys MI

So I know its been forever since Ive been on the forums..... but for the last 3 months Aaron Panek (Rc shop owner Riverplace) and I have been putting on an RC night at the Kern Pavilian since it is now heated. Harvey Kern Pavilion in Heritage Park - Frankenmuth . So for the first three events we had a stadium truck style track set up for racing and general fooling around. And we used the rest of the building for flying small rc planes and drones and Heli's. For tonight 1/3/15 we want to add a crawler obstical course. Ill try to set up somthing using some 2x4's and some cut up fire wood and some chairs/sawhorses. Was wondering if anyone in the crawling community would like to show up. And hey if you bring some rocks or whatever that is mobile it would be appreciated.

I think I want to set up for this summer a trail riding group for outdoor trail events like we used to do a few years ago based in the tri city area. Im sure we could have a lot of fun at the new rock quarty / trails set up at the new dam in Frankenmuth (its all rocks now) as well as the river place water features. We could also have an event in Midland near their river and Im sure we could find lots of cool trails to have fun with.

Of course thats for when things get a bit nicer out. For right now Im offering a nice heated indoor event in a large building. It runs from 7pm to 9pm Sunday (tonight). Its 5.00 per flyer and 6.00 per rc car person (to offset costs). See ya there. Any questions you can call or text me at 989-359-9795.

Dan! It was good to see you and Aaron again. Hope fully we can get some more guys to show up at the next run on the 31st.

Newer guy here from midland, would be interested in meeting some new people and going trailing. Have a few spots in midland I'm exploring soon that should be really nice=)

Just curious if anyone is in the area and wants to try to get together sometime. Not sure when or where but putting out some feelers to see if there's any interest. If anyone has any good spots I know myself and probably a buddy or two would be down to meet up somewhere"thumbsup"

There is a good size group from the Bay City/Saginaw area. Check some of the Facebook groups. We been having get togethers almost every weekend.

Just entering the scene. Bought a slick rock and I can see things are only going to get worse from here lol

In the process of adding a short course type track at Rocks and Valleys Off Road Park. It's going to have turn offs with rock obstacles for the ultra 4 type rigs though. I intend to add a dedicated rock crawler trail through the nearby woods after the short course is finished.

Welcome to the hobby"thumbsup" yeah it does only get worse haha. I've been addicted to crawlers and would all my fast stuff except my slash to feed my need to build more crawlers

Thanks betts. :)

Worked on the short course more tonight. We have the barriers set in place. Had to ditch the turn offs I had planned and bring it down to 4 15ft wide lanes instead of 6 10ft wide lanes. Everything just looked too tight. Looks better now.

Talked about where the rock crawl is going. Excited to get started on that now that we have a better idea of where to put it.

Working on the track again tomorrow. Guessing we will probably get a start on the crawl area before the day is over. Woot!

Been watching U4RC on YouTube for inspiration. Giving me strong urges to buy things I can't afford. ;)

Alright guys If you your looking for a place to run Indoors for the winter Check out Crossroads Hobby shop on FB and if your looking for the local group check out Tri City Crawlers on FB.
