Bay City or Tri Citys MI

Well I just ran a full 3s threw my tekin system and it huals! In grass nothing even got warm!
sweet!"thumbsup" im still trying to figure out a pretty beefy diff cuz if i keep going thru bevel gears like this i need something stronger? and im not even half way thru the pack yet?:lmao:

to be honest idk? pulled the diff apart an the one bevel gear was completely shaven down but no shavings in the diff so i got the bright idea and flipped them and probly the same thing happen so looks like im going to have to order a new diff! man im starting to hate this thing!

Just got done installing my clear trans cover and the newer style driveshaft cover on my 4x4. And ordered my diff fluid tonight for the center diff. Wanted to go to midland today but had to go into work to rebuild the plate and mound.

Nick Find anything today?

well i cant afford a new slash or blitz, but thinking of doing the srtc conversion to the rustler or stampede.

Id really like to get a blitz. all around good truck and minimal breakage by what iv heard.

if u have a rustler you would be saving alot by that conversion then with you pede...cuz all u would need is slash bumpers skids chassis battery hold down body mounts and body "thumbsup"

wouldnt just buying a slash chassis and the "lift" things underneath be the same thing tho? the strc kit is part of the LCG slash, which drops the battery 2 inches from a regualr slash, Im thinking of doing this because my son wants a slash and this is the best and cheapest way of doing it.

WoW nice with the lift things there called "skid plates" anyway or if u really want to be cheap and or ghetto fab buy another rustler chassis and if u cut them both just right in half you can make then long enough as a slash chassis look it up under rcshortcourse.com

yeah had a brain fart last night couldnt think of skid plate for some reason lol!! :flipoff:

But cheap and or ghetto... eh maybe but i do work at a metal shop and have access to 24g down to 16g steel and a turret punch and we have machine builders. all id have to do is make some measurements cut some metal and drill some holes. im sure 2 16g steel plates as extenders is going to be stronger than that aluminum strc uses lol. by what iv read its only around 46mm longer, but not sure if that was the 1st gen slash or the 2nd gen. I would probly have to get a body first.

Hey I cant complaining in the cheap and it ghetto slash I'd rock one! Btw I know of some guys that chipped it and bought the outlaw chassis for there slash and used it as a templet and made there own out of fiberglass and cardboard just to shave off weight! So of ya make enough of them you could probly make some cash!

slash gen

on the different slashes there's not much change from traxxas except there wheels and tires 1st Gen had true 2.2 wheels and tires 2nd gen they switched there tires to the 2.2-3.0 wheels and tires and 3rd gen if u look closely at the body they started to use the slayer body but same wheels and tires...wow I need a life from these forums! LMFAO!!!
