Bay City or Tri Citys MI

Got some temporary front lights set up. Not really happy with the way they look cosmetically, but seem to light up the area nice.

I used a small holder I found at Radio shack. The problem is they stick out of the body by about 3mm. I have a few other ideas that I'm going to try next.

Love the lights may have to do that to mine! "thumbsup"

That's going to be next major purchase. I just need to make a bumper that's long enough to support one. I hope to get busy on that this weekend. I want some sort of bumper set up before the 8th.

Bumper

Well I worked on the front bumper this afternoon. I'm somewhat happy with it, I just messed up the bolt on part and need to redril it in the morning.

You can really see how crooked the bumper is in the last pic. You may also see that I f$cked up the lights. I was drilling out the lights and the drill caught wierd and ripped open the hole to big for the light buckets I found to fit. Have a new idea that I will try later.

Liken that bumper! I've been thinking of grinding the sides of my bumper onto an angle to help with rock clearence. Even though you lost the headlamps it actually makes it look even more like a scale rock truck.

Anyone doing anything this weekend?

Dan

Hey Nick, I've been reading about that controller for awhile. Here's the thread with a lot of information. Really sounds like a great radio.

So are you getting close to running.

I'm going to start a new project this weekend. I'm thinking of building a weight sled. It would be fun to get some kind of tough truck event going this summer.

I'll be closer to running by next weekend! I have parts trickling in as we speak. Ya I was reading that thread and it dont sound to bad for the price. ya a weight sled wood be a blast. Jays buddy has 1 of the origional ones.

I talked to doug the other day and he's still selling batteries. I'm going to pick up some of his new lipos next week.
