Axial Racing 55t motor

I am looking for a new motor for my AX10. I am not in to the brushless and I am really not intrested in getting Lipos. So is the Axial Racing 55t Motor any good.

i have the novak roster crawler esc and 55t combo kit and i love it i just run a 6 cell battery pack and the crawler is awsome when you let off the throttle it stops like a trans brake. the thing is cool and a relly good investment for 120.00 bucks

but if your going to spend 120 bucks you might as well buy a sidewinder. it can go brushed or brushless and has so many settings and is an all around better then the novak. im not bagging on novak i have a rooster in my other crawler with the 55t motor. the sidewinder is just so much better for the price.

That is good you don't want to run lipos, because I burned one of those axial motors up in about 10 min with one. But besides only lasting ten minutes, it felt like a good motor.

but does the side winder come with a 55t moter too? the novac setup is 110 ish with a 55t and the ESC. just wondering... and i have the novac in my rig and love every min. of it..

no it doesnt but i got my sidewinder for 70 and you can get a brushed 55t for like 30 so your only at 100. there both really good setups. i ran my novak with a 55t for like 6months and it was way awesome. but the drag brake wasnt the best. my sidewinder has a awesome drag brake and you can run a 3s lipo on it and now it has a brushless outrunner on it.

i got the novak roster crawler esc and 55t combo kit too, since i don't have my crawler yet, tossed it into my flm'd pede, love it. i haven't tested it for a month of saturdays but it's good.

yeah, most 55t's are slower then 35t's right so ...hey, i'm from sioux city!!! north high class of 90!!! wholy crap!

I agree i have the same set up and it works great and also i am using a 7 cell split battery pack on the front axles

ive been running the axial 55t its a great buy. although i did break down and ordered the novak 55 this morning. expecting it to be here on wednesday.

I got the tegin fxr 55t combo and I run 97/12 gears w/ a 900mah 2s lipo. It's really really slow but I love the control I have. I ran a goat before that and it was just way too much motor for my style. So the simplicity of brushed and smaller esc cleaned up the rig. I'm actually going to pull the goats out of my berg and try these 55t's.
