Hey guys,

Found an awesome solution for the axial smt10 grave digger headlights and wanted to share. I studied alot of light kits, and found alot of people saying they used the traxxas kit. Well, it took awhile but I finally found one in stock in a small hobby shop in Florida and ordered them. They arrived, and I was honestly less than impressed. They are basically just a chrome dish with a red bulb in the middle. They have a locking tab to put on from the inside to hold it together, and are easy to install. I just didn't like the looks of them with the big chrome dish on the outside of the body.

So I began searching for red lenses of some sort to mount over the chrome dishes. There are not many options out there. But, lo and behold, I came across the Losi LMT grave digger light set, #LOS240015, and they looked like what I needed. They arrived today, and I got them mounted. The Losi set comes with leds, chrome buckets, not just dishes, red lenses, and chrome trim rings. They screw on with two mounting screws. A little more difficult to mount, with having to cut out the center section of the body for the lights, then ream two screw holes for each light, but after mounting, they are much more secure and man do they look great. Much more of a scale look.

I do have to give points to traxxas for the quick disconnect, but the light bucket set is much nicer from Losi and fit the axial perfectly. Im actually using the traxxas leds, which are red, with the losi bucket set. They give off a nice deep ruby red light from behind the lenses.

I wish I could figure out how to post pictures on here.

When you go to copy the picture link, scroll down the code until you see the code named BBCODE Medium Linked.

That code will make your pictures this size, which his perfect for forums. Also Put a space after your links. this will stack the pictures one on top of the last. You can edit your post with the pics and just replace the code you originally used with the Medium linked code and that will resize the pictures here on the forum.

WTG> Those lights do look right at home in there.
