Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score)

It's cool, but for $180 I'd buy a 1/10th scale, brushed off-roader. The price is bat-shit crazy.

If your not familiar with minis and are worried about plastic gears, it's not a problem. I beat the crap out of 3 brushless losi minis on a rough off road track and have never busted a gear, they all have plastic spurs and one has plastic diff gears. Locked slippers too.

If Axial's website is to be believed, it won't be available at any retail stores. "Available exclusively on axialracing.com/"

This is sadly correct. This batch will only be sold via Axialracing.com but here is to hoping that will change in the future.

That's my assumption. First batch is available through Axial only so they can maximize on the Christmas rush. But I suspect early in the new year we'll see retail availability.

The $179 price tag is a bit of a bummer after the leak showed $159. I wonder what a kit, or more likely an ARTR version with no batteries or charger, would go for.

i would order one from axial direct, buuuuuuuuuuuut shipping cost are too high ( 50 - 80$) + tax no way.
hopefully it will be available soon here in germany (not like the scx10-2 kit), in the meantime i could decide if i go with the score or not.

Direct from axial was probably a way to get them out before the holidays.. just a guess.

Or a way to test direct selling. Which would explain the stoping the coupons...

Just ordered this. Like others, looking forward to "tweaking" it!!! This will go nice with my 1/10 Yeti RR and 1/8 Yeti XL. The family is complete!!"thumbsup"

Just ordered mine.... but being in NZ and shipping out of Tower Hobbies, you guy's will all have run in and probably have your 1/18th scale Bomber Jr. before mine makes it to me in little ol' New Zealand. Tower's shipping here is shocking!!!!!!!!!

I do kinda hope for a bomber jr

Same here.
Solid axle 1/18 is what I want.
I like to MRC axles but full aftermarket was never really there.

Heck, Losi CVD's and some knuckles/CHubs mounted to Beef Tube's would turn this rear axle into all kinda of possibilities.

X2 i'll wait for a Bomber.

Yeah, Bomber Jr would be sweet. The Yeti Jr already has the rearend for it just like 1:10.

Other places will most likely carry them after this first run.. I'm not a betting man but since there was a leaked ad, and rpp has them listed I'm willing to venture to say there could be a chance

Been waiting on the Jr since the leak. So that's what? 2 or 3 weeks? Hah! I had a little $$ in my PP account from a recent HK refund so... I bought one. It'll look great on the shelf next to my XL. I just hope it doesn't require as many upgrades to turn left, turn right and go forward without leaving a trail of parts behind it. Haha! I'm kidding, of course.

No, I'm not. :(

Ha! I couldn't resist either! Actually I figured it would be a good first for my 4 year old. Should be a lot more manageable than my 1/10 rigs (hopefully).

What will be really fun to read and see is the VP, SSD and the like Trailing Arms, Driveshafts, Cups, Link upgrades etc coming out. Boom!! $750 1/18 Yeti or Score that goes 7mph.
