Brake Weight

I put a longer can 380 from a Redcat. The can contacted in the back with the pinion I used. It can be done if you rotate the motor to the top instead of down.

How many turns is the motor?
How much of a difference in speed an motor temp?
Yes it does, had to trim the bearing cap some to have enough room to get proper gear mesh.Anybody know if a traxxas 380 motor fits?
Looks long

I ran the absolute dog piss out of it on 3s. I did have to swap in a 12t pinion just because the output shaft is larger on the traxxas motor. Motor temps were good, did multiple full throttle speed runs and it was only warm. Top speed was 34.1mph but it wasn't a fresh battery so there may be just a touch more left in there.Did u run it with that motor? How did it do speed an motor temp compared to stock? 2s or 3s?
Is the gear mesh held in place only by the top gear cover keeping the motor mount from rotating?
Yes. It's a poor design since you can't see or feel the mesh as you seat it by tightening the cover down.
it would definitely be nice if someone made a 2 piece cover so you could have a separate motor bracket
