got a wraith on order so I'm already scoutting locations to go break it (in)

Hey fellas,
Does anyone know where to get 1.9 Pit Bull Rock Beast tires in Aus? Heard rave reviews so wanted to try some, I only seem to be able to find them in online based US shops with ridiculous postage so far, ie $90 delivered for 2 pairs.
cheers

Hey guys welcome to RCC

Max where in Australia are you.

As for Pitbull's sorry bud the US will be the cheapest option and to the best of my knowledge you will not find them down here. Maybe try the local forums to see if you can organise a group by to share the shipping cost.

I'm from the outer east suburbs of Melbourne. Yeh will look into it further, maybe have a look see what else i can combine them with to reduce overall shipping cost.

Comp schedule for CANZ in QLD

Here is the preliminary schedule for the 2012 comp events for QLD:

29 Jan 2012 - Springwood Conservation Park
26 Feb 2012 - Cedar Creek, Samford
25 Mar 2012 - Toohey Forest 1
29 Apr 2012 - Kings Beach, Caloundra
27 May 2012 - JC Slaughter Falls
17 Jun 2012 - cANZ Nationals
29 Jul 2012 - Petrie
26 Aug 2012 - Currumbin
30 Sep 2012 - Simpson Falls
28 Oct 2012 - Toohey Forest 2
25 Nov 2012 -TBA
16 Dec 2012 - Non-points round. Christmas Social

Please note that the locations are not fixed in stone and may be changed at the discretion of the Comp Organisers.

This new schedule provides for 10 point scoring rounds for 2012 plus the cANZ 2012 Nationals in June. Pickering street will be used as a rain day comp site.

You will have noticed that there is no “State Titles” event in the QLD 2012 calendar. In 2012 we are going to do things differently.

cANZ is about, and exists for, those members who are out there on the rocks competing every month; who put in the hard yards over the whole year improving their skills and their trucks. In 2012, the November competition date will be the final monthly competition round for the year and, at the end of that round, the QLD State Titles will be awarded to the 2012 series points winners in recognition of their outstanding performance and commitment over the entire year’s competition series.

The 2012 QLD Series Points will be updated below as the season progresses:

Comp Scale Class:
Defending Champ -

2.2 Sportsman Class:
Defending Champ -

2.2 PRO Class:
Defending Champ - Jakesy

I run 3 Comp trucks, Pro, Sportsman and Comp Scale and have more than my fair share of Social Scale crawlers from a Modded Losi MRC to the usual 1/10 scalers to a 1/5 custom CR01 cross Jeep Cherokee Larado. My trucks can be found at http://www.crawlanz.com/index.php

Hey lads, I'm new here (obviously) just wondering where is the best place to pick up a new/used scx10 the local shop has the honcho kit for $460 but www.frontlinehobbies.com.au has RTR trucks for $380 (dingo) or $400 (honcho) free delivery with purchases over $150. Thinking about going that way but it isn't the 2.4ghz... So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, any help would be appreciated.

Also if anyone is around the Rockhampton area and is wanting to part out a truck for a reasonable price I'll even go that way, thanks Traian.

Newbie to crawlers, and electric rc in general. Have had a few petrol r/c over the years. Just got myself a Wraith Kit 2 weeks ago, finishing the build up soon. Anyone recommend any good spots around brisbane to crawl? I live inner city, so dont mind to travel. Might even head to one of the comps as mentioned a few posts above!

Hey guys good to see a.couple of new Aussies in here. Check out the site listed above in my last post. Quite a few guys there from Qld that can give you the goss on local spots.
