Ascender/Tribute

I've been fighting with styrene for over a week now and I think I'm finally starting to get the upper hand. I'm kind of learning as I go, but starting to get the hang of it. Some sanding and filling left to do, and it's ready for paint. "thumbsup" Front seats are going to be a pair of Dinky seats that I was lucky enough to witness being formed. Should get everything painted sometime tomorrow then it's time to finish the dreaded luggage rack. The rack is turning out to be a pain, and I might end up farming it out to someone with a little more talent than I have.

Interior same as done  Not great, and not exact, but It'll do. Could use a little more detail imo, but I'm getting lazy. Dammit! I just noticed there's no turn signal lever

Thanks, Nate! It's not exact, but looking through the tiny windows it should looks decent "thumbsup"

Looks great from here...and....way better than my non-existent interior. :lmao:"thumbsup"

Doh! Just make a tiny bumper sticker, "Turn signal broken, watch for arm" or something like that lol. ;-)

Looks good Jon, it would look great in a five foot concourse! Are you running it at Diseny?"thumbsup"
Ernie,

Ernie,

Thanks, Ernie! I'm undecided as to what I'm running at Disney. I initially planned on running this one, but I hate scratches. Picked the right hobby lol.
I've really thought about running my Sawback because for some reason it's incredible at Disney, but the out of production body that's on it can't be replaced....Yeah I know  I'm thinking it'll be the Blue Bronco or the good ole Monte Crawler that's painted similar to my 1:1 Monte. I'm really falling in love with my scrap pile Bronco though. Hell I don't have a clue what I'm going to run and probably wont till 5 minutes before the start :ror: Might have to take a poll and let yall decide for me lol.

Thanks, Nate! I'm putting a signal lever in it. I'll go crazy if I don't lol

Small update. I've been extra busy and I've been working on everything but the Ascender. I did give it a few minutes of my time today though. Locked up R/C got me my itty ditty nuts and hubs today, so I had to run in the house from the mailbox like a little kid and throw the wheels together. While I was at it I put the carpet in the interior. Krawler Koncepts shipped out the decals about a week ago, so I'm hoping to have them any day now "thumbsup"

Had a pretty productive day for once. Did a little more detailing on the interior, made a second gas cap, mounted the mirror, made and installed the black diamond plate rocker covers, tinted the windows and made the luggage rack "thumbsup" For some reason the rack has a slight bow. A little fine tuning and hopefully it'll look right. Sneak peak....
I did shorten the rack a little because I figure the back of it will be short lived enough as it is. It really looks bad in this picture. I'm setting here looking at it right now, and it doesn't look that short. ;-)

Looking good Jon, I think that bronco is getting plenty of loving. I got my K10 on my yard rocks today, got to say it climbed pretty good.
I sent Poprvet some parts for UNCLE, hopefully they will perk both them up a little."thumbsup"
Ernie,

Decals made it in all the way from Canada today! It's really starting to come together now "thumbsup"

Finally! Nothing left to do but light buckets and wire up the LED's, when they get here. Luggage rack is finished for the second time, and it's straight now.
Most importantly, I got the turn signal lever put in :ror:
Oh, and the second gas cap "thumbsup"
Not perfect, but I'm tickled chitless with it. Now to start over with the Cody Boy axles install and drivetrain upgrades.... After Crawl-a-palooza...
