Barring a little rain it was a fun weekend, The top 3 in class definitely stood out from the crowd."thumbsup"

The idea behind the weekend was a cheap laid back get away for the PARC an SARCCA clubs to join NARCCA in the cool pines of Northern Arizona and escape of the 100* plus of the heat of the Deserts of Arizona.

Thanks to all those donated give away items, Flagstaff Hobbies, McAllister Racing, Rockwerks.com, Cars69, Doubledub racing, and the awesome trophies made my MtHead!"thumbsup" and we cant forget all those who help layout courses, score and tech the event.

To give guys more run time on the courses we did abate the normal USRCCA 40 point max points per course and went to a longer run time for each course.

The scoring worked as such. normal scoring per USRCCA with the 20 points per gate to advance and 40 points per DNF or DNS and 10 points for each gate not cleared. The 10 points per gate was implemented to stop competitors from sandbagging to keep a better score and promote competition. After all was said and done the changes to normal scoring made no difference in the top 10 drivers in each class and gave middle of the pack drivers a chance to finish the courses.

We started off at 9:00 am with a simple tech inspection and one member of each of the clubs laid out 2 courses in each class.

The comp started around 10:30 with Ali dividing up the 2.2 class into 2 groups to run each course at the same time to move things along as quick as possible..... about 3/4's of the way through each classes second course the sky let loose with a deluge of rain that lasted about 2 hours then competition continued. The rain delay caused us to abandon the 3rd course for 2.2's

We gave out trophies at dusk Saturday night for top 3 in each class. TOP 5 finishers posted Overall is just for information for those who ran both classes.

My Wife and I had a great time at this event. The weather was a lot
cooler than Phx. The rain kind of added to the excitement, and in a

Wa. "thumbsup"
