I've been out of comp crawling for a long time. Tri-State crawlers was still around, 1.9s were new, and MOA had just come to 2.2 to punish anyone who had a dig as 2.2 split into subclasses.

This section is dead. The hobby shops still stock crawlers and parts, so somebody must be buying them. I admit mine do make very nice paperweights, but it seems like they've got a higher purpose.

The RC 1/14 semi and construction equipment drivers are easier to get together with, and they have to rent buildings and setup roads and bring dirt or rubber. Crawling is more pick a park to drive around and maybe bring some gates.

Post up any Indiana meets, trail runs, comps that you hear about, are planning, or would like to set up. Even just places you like to crawl.

I assume someone will be along shortly with something like:
"We have the biggest and best known english speaking RC Rock Crawling forum in the world, that you're already here reading... so, you have to go check out some obscure myface group instead."

Your last line pretty much nailed it. Most of the information traded is through facebook anymore. The crawling scene died in Indiana with the Rox Box closing. There is a group in NW Indiana that get together sometimes and a trail riding group that ran for a few years, but not too much activity here in the Crossroads.

I've tried a couple times to get something going again. Just not as much interest as there used to be.

New guy at work said he goes to comps at Hamilton Hobbies in Hamilton, Ohio near Cincinnati. Not sure how far you’re willing to travel.

I am in that fb group, been out on black Friday with a couple guys from it. They did a run not too long ago I want able to go on

I'm just getting into it. Got my son a mini hammers and about to build a bomber. He is young but really gets a kick out of it.

We got acreage to trail where I live (clay county) but I bet turkey run or McCormick state park would be good

Due to weather poblems the march 3 crawl has been moved from muscatatuck to

Versalles state park

Still 10a est.

Meeting point from south gate house: right, left, right at triangle, straight, straight, straight, cross fallen timber creek bridge, straight, straight, straight, left. Weird turnaround by mountain bike trailhead, near trail 5

This section is dead....
You hit the nail on the head! Has been that way for a long time. That is why people have given up on posting here.

I assume someone will be along shortly with something like:
"We have the biggest and best known english speaking RC Rock Crawling forum in the world, that you're already here reading... so, you have to go check out some obscure myface group instead."
That "obscure group" has over 600 members, 99.9% live in Indiana. It may not be the best but it sure has more traffic than this section. Join if you want to stay current with what locals are doing, if you don't then that's ok too, but no need to hate on something that people put time and effort into.

"...no need to hate on something that people put time and effort into." Uh, hate on This thread or That place?

So do you have any upcoming events to mention?

Or i guess we could have a Chicken or Egg conversation about which way of sharing events makes people give up trying first. Atleast it's not quite as bad as the old TriState thing of making you join another locked forum to be able to find out anything...

Anybody wanna meet up some time in the near future? I am on the Southwest side of Indianapolis. Currently looking for cool places to crawl. I have multiple rigs ready to hit trails. Willing to travel.
