Any one using "mayhem" machined aluminum wheels ? opinions?

love the few sets i have... "thumbsup"

and dan is a great guy to work with on those custom orders too...

Cats ass is what the are! great rims great service, custom orders are never a problem. he will take the time to talk to you and give his imput. every whell i have is mayhem, or will be soon enough.

WOW....I'm turning red.......LOL Thanks Guys"thumbsup" Thanks for all the orders over the last 15 or so months.

I got a set from a club member who got them brand new, ran them 2 times and the clanking noises got to him. It doesn't bother me, I like those wheels alot. The only thing that I don't look foward to doing is changing tires- 32 screws per wheel!

I'm going to treat myself to a new set of rings real soon, just to freshen things up.

Hey Dan, that's a good question, how much for just a set of outer rings for the comp double phattie's 16 screw version?

You can order 8 hole rings.

Any Mayhem Eng. rings are $30.00 for 4 and $45.00 for 8 Also engraving is $20.00 in the comp. rings. This is in any of the colors of ano that we offer.

The CDP's work really good and .54 cal lead balls fit in there nicely to cut down on the chatter or extra weight. I think the Berg CDP's might take a smaller ball though...

The Noise...

I ran mine once at a comp and now I am looking for something else.

But they do hold a great bead. The best of the best. An the craftsman ship is Awesome. It's just the noise I can't deal with..I even tried putting in 9/16" Delrin Bearings to stop the rattling. It's just to much noise for me.

These things have to go.

You know you can use fixed weights with this wheel as well. Replace the bearings with stick on weights in the same place you had the live weight. Or do what Just Zack did and fill that area with lead. No ones says you need to run just the live weight.

If the noise is the only complaint I can live with that.

Remember you have been added to the list and you don't want to be on the list, it's not a good thing........lol

I under stand that I could add a different type of weight to the wheel. But I would tend to think; this would defeat the purpose of the design?

Put me on your list... These things suck!

I'm not saying your bashing....I just having some fun. The wheel was designed for the live weight but can also use a fixed weight. I know you know that already. I'm just saying it can be used both ways. I can't do an exchange because last time I did that I got screwed. Post them up for sale I'm sure someone will buy them and then come see me. If you buy a new set from me I will remove you from the list, by the way your the only one on it...."thumbsup"

i like the sound of my "balls" flopping around in my wheel's guys in the club call it our bling. :P Bling Bling Bling.

Someone down under said it sounded like a baby rattle....lol Ya I can't spell Australia Oh spell check.

One other thing is if you are running more then 4 bearings in a wheel the 5th bearing will flop over the top and create more noise. The design was to run no more then 4 per wheel. You can run as many as you like but the design was for 4.

HAHA, dont feel bad 1/2 my replys have redlines under every other word. i just hit enter and give a crap. lol

Just curious how much do the DF's weight with 4 bearings in them. I plan on getting a set of 7's soon and adding lead strips but if the fatt's weigh enough I might just go that route. From the looks of these wheels they are amazing and I can't wait to get my hands ona set. A couple people in my club run them and I haven't heard any complaints. Keep up the good work"thumbsup".
