any crawlers in MN?

nice lookin scaler troy , Jerimy(probeater's Computer took a dump).....
chace will be running a 2.2, and pro beater will be running a borrowed truck unless he gets time to builf his tlt kit....

Got my front brush guard and a rear bumper on. Keep in mind this is a beater, I'll be using parts from the bone yard and stuff I have around the shop. I also added a goofy looking redneck light bar.
Function over form ;-)
Edit: Did I mention my F-350 is down with transmission problems, too much trailer towing :-(
I hate a chevy, but had to have something to drive ;-)
Don't worry, I won't try and pull the trailer with this weak 350 chev engine :flipoff:
When the F-350 is back and running, this will be a beater mud/trail truck "thumbsup"

sadly i am not getting a crawler anymore. there isn't any crawling terrain around here, and my dad said he isn't driving me anywhere to crawl. i guess that would include monthly g2g's. even if i could go crawling with you guys once a month it still wouldn't be worth it without some nearby terrain that i can reach on my own.

Liking the Touareg should hold a 1.9 class next year. What dates do you guys plan on running in the 07' season. Just want to make sure our comp dates will not overlap.

I haven't even got a rig to run yet, been tryin like he!! to trade my FT B4 for a crawler with no happy ending, I will have to talk to silverdirt and see what ones he wants to hit up and hope I have a rig by then, I know I am going to be at the Minnesota State On-Road Championships for the first GTG on March 25th, we are holding them in the DECC during the World of Wheels car show with rumors of and best of show R/C car show by the Judges of the 1:1 car show.

Ok we will end our comp winter season June 3rd then. All of the dates look good we only meet once a month. You guys have some cool events, I'm going to make battle at the boarder and maybe X games this year."thumbsup" Guess I should reserve a campsite in the park soon, don't want to pay what I did last time.

Only 7 weeks from this last Sunday until comp season starts :D

19 days until the Cabin Fever Crawl/trail/mud fest :D

Let the countdown begin

Welcome OrangeCrush!!
Most of our comps are held in Taylors Falls Mn at Interstate State Park.
It's the best place we've found so far. However, we are always open/looking for new locations, and we plan on doing a weekend trip to the Duluth area sometime this summer.
What are you running?

Weathers looking good for this weekend... But taylors falls won't be happening for me this weekend. There is still to much snow on the ground, though it should start melting this weekend, and during the next couple weeks.

Also I am going to start to rewire the landcruiser this weekend, getting a new aftermarket wiring harness for it. Should be fun pulling out all of the old wiring.

My prediction is the snow will be gone by March 25th. But waterproofing will be a prudent idea. I think the mud will fly. I hope to have a clod mud truck built by then

Please respond

Ok, A couple of us were talking, kicking around ideas for the RC-X games.
One idea was to build a replica (maybe not to scale) of Lions Back.
I'm sure most of you have at least seen a vid of Lions? if not, google Lions Back, or Lions Back crashes, and check it out.
This would be just One feature of our crawling course.

Post up ideas, thoughts, etc please.

I would say no to the lions back idea... the real deal is cool cause you can't see jack! A scaled down version would just be a long straight drive, and slow. And for people watching, I think it was be boring to them.

Maybe a short double lions back? side by side, keep a tire on each of them.

Well its been a wile. I have been busy. I dont know that I will be able to make all of the comps but I will try. I will have my super and my 2.2 if I get it fixed. I might evin have a scaler. It is good to see all the new names. Welcome to all of you.

On the down side I'm looking for a job. I got the shaft with no lube on my last job.
