Yeah, same goes for me, I just went down and clicked on the stars, now I actually have to look :shock:
The weatherman this morning says 2"-4" for Wednesday, day, another 4"-6" overnight Wed, then heavy snow all day Thurs, possibly getting as much as this last weekend. I think I'll be waterproofing my new scaler very well for creek crossings and mud :lol:

I was just reading back through the start of this thread.
What a difference a year makes :lol:
We pulled off our first Successful, fairly orginized (IMO) comp season last year. And it looks to be a very promising up-coming 2007 comp season.
Last year I think we had an average of 10-15 competitors, some even from out-state, and attending more then once, and it looks like we may add a few more this season "thumbsup" I'm excited about the direction this club is taking, and the amount of interest here in Mn. We've got a great core group of guys here, and I'm looking forward to meeting the new guys who've been posting up.
I joined this forum to gain some knowledge about rc crawling, and maybe meet up with a few others in the area (if there were any?) and do some bashing. Little did I know there would be so much interest, and enough that were/are able to be dedicated enough to set up a club and run a comp series. And what a blast the first summer was "thumbsup" I met a great group of guys, learned alot about rc crawling, my trucks, my driving, course set-up/design, rules/scoring etc. Best of all, (Besides the small fortune on trucks) is it was all free. And since we were only competing for bragging rights and a few small prizes, the competition wasn't/isn't "cut throat". I like the idea of keeping it that way.
Some things to thing about? I'm hoping we can have a couple of comps at other suitable locatiions this season? and maybe talk about doing a camping/hotel weekend in Duluth. Also a few of us talked about building a portable crawling course for doing demo's and using at the RC-X Games.
Anyway, this post started out as a rollcall, but after looking through the start of the thread, I can't help but comment on how much we've grown in the last year.
So here's the run down of crawlers.
This is just to get an idea of how we're looking for the coming 2007 comp season.

Yeah snow!!!
Well, I just got sent home early from work today due to the snow . This may not be as amazing to you guys, but it's a miracle to me. For those who don't know, I work in a call center that is 24/7/365 ... WE NEVER CLOSE! In fact, this is the first time we have ever closed our call center... EVER! They were even open for the Halloween storm of 1993, if gives any indication. Anyways, I hope everyone else is enjoying the snow like I am!

if we have a camping weekend in duluth maybe we could camp at gooseberry falls state park. if allowed it may be a fun place for some trail driving. i think the sites there have electricity outlets there for rv's, but if no we can use car batteries. or we could just stay at a hotel(i recommend the best western in duluth. they have an awesome water park and alot of other things to do when we aren't out crawling, if we have time that is.
