With the fine selection of scale hardware available lately, I got some of the 2mm bolts from Locked Up RC to try out on the 3D printed motor from the files on thingaverse that Harley has provided to all of us.
I found myself looking for a good quality, inexpensive nut driver for the hardware. I've seen some of the vendors selling nice looking tools, I just wanted something simple and affordable. I went searching on Wiha's website and found exactly what I was looking for.
P/N 26520 is a hand held nut driver that fits the scale hardware perfectly, the end cap of the nut driver turns so that you can steady it against your palm. I found a bunch of places on line to order them from, but I was able to get it through a local Grainger store for $8.
I'm not trying to knock any of the great vendors on here, it's nice that they can make shopping for obscure tools and hardware easy. My budget makes me search for the best bang for the buck, so I thought I'd share what I found. Wiha makes all different size nut drivers, metric and imperial, plus lots of other great tools that can be used for our hobby needs. "thumbsup"
