4s motor on 6s... what'll happen?

The mamba x is 6s rated. The HH puller pro 1200kv stubby is 4s rated. Say, for instance, these are going into a rig with a standard geared vfd trans, and scx10 iii portals. So, super low rpm motor and super low gearing.

Feasibly, what would happen to the motor if a 6s battery was used to get a little more top end out of this setup?

Asking for a friend.:flipoff:

I don't see any problem with that... I've run my 3500kv puller pro on 6s (88k theoretical peak rpm) a few times and nobody died, though I usually run it on 4s (59k rpm) Your 1200kv will only be spinning 30k rpm with a fully charged 6s (25.2v) I generally shoot for 50-60k max rpm when choosing motor kv and battery voltage, 30k is totally safe IMO. Now, if that was a 1200kv 10/12/14 pole motor (like an outrunner), your esc would not be happy about it, but the puller pros are 4 pole so you're good to go... warranty be damned!
