2015 RCCA / Usrcca series general info

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

I have never hosted a big regional event, but I may want to this year (Since no one else seems to be) I am already a coordinator for the State. Am I good to just "go for it" and create a big regional event?

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

We will need to discuss the details of the event prior to the creation, but the hope is that you would be hosting your regional as a tradition. Even if the person acting as hosts change, there are still places in the US (and worldwide) that deserve regular events. A showcase of the landscape and/ or ability to host. We do have a few coordinators that have expressed their interest in continuing their regional event, but I have not been pushing for calender dates. Once January rolls around we will start ensuring the dates get filled so there is no conflicts among events close to each other. I will also start rolecalling clubs about their schedules late winter if needed, once this comes together we can get a clearer picture of club, state, regional, and international invite levels.

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

Like I have said before I would love for our club to host the Notheast Championships (Notheast National Qualifier) again at Rausch Creek here in PA. Right now I am waiting on the off-road park to get their 2015 schedule in order. I am not sure when they will make this available to the public.

OK I have secured the date and the facility for July 10-12th.
Here comes The Northeast National Championship at Rausch Creek Off Road Park in Pennsylvania."thumbsup"

Excellent! I have decided on Sept 12th as the weekend for Worlds as well. To avoid conflicts with regional events Parker will be putting all of his G6 events on the calender too. I'll be sure we get the calender tidied up and filled by months end, before it starts getting warm.

That sounds Great JRH. Any idea of location?

Will Worlds ever be out of the US? If so I have to get my passport updated."thumbsup"

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

Yes, in a few years after we get a good groove going again I will be looking at other countries for worlds. I'll be sure we give 8 or 9 months heads up.

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

Three updates on the state of the 2015 season:

One thing that I will be adding through RC ORVA for 2015 is the "Super Pro" ticket. For ORVA members who want to win money, they can purchase a Super Pro upgrade that will pay back out to the top drivers who participated in Super Pro. It will be a feature that any competition can add during the event creation once we get it programmed in.

We are also adding a $5 bronze membership level, and probably a $15 silver membership for RC ORVA. This way people can join in with a secured driver profile without the full $25 gold membership fee. There will be ascending levels of benefits, such as rental car and hotel discounts for Gold members only. We are still hammering out these exact details.

Thirdly, we are adding an Amateur Trail class. It will entail a simplified judging consisting of only time limits, 10 second reverse penalty, and 10 second clean gate bonus that modify the finishing or DNF time. The person behind you will be your judge, and it is simple enough that a child can do it. All other penalties will put the rig back to the last gate progressed, so the driver has to be more careful the further away from the last gate they go.

Would be super sweet to see Worlds up here in Canada. "thumbsup"
We got a kick ass location up here :ror:

Re: 2015 RCCA / Usrcca series

How about international drivers? Will there be invites?

John,
I'm wondering if it is possible to add scores from our passed 4 events to get are winter series up to date?
So that the signed up driver can get there driver points.

Another question
I see that all results are to be in by June 1st
Our outdoor season doesn't even start till march and ends at the end of September.
Which means we would only have 3 events in by June 1st.

How will this work for us?

We do run a indoor winter series that runs from October to March as well that we could use.

So wondering how long it takes for a club to get their rep/coordinator assigned with rcorva? First comp of the year is this Saturday and havent received a response yet. Thanks

Yeah, our coordinator has been trying to get our indoor series entered into RCORVA and I still don't see any results.

We'll be on our 6th indoor comp at the end of the month.

There are some back side controls we are working on to smooth this out. I'll talk with my programmer today about it. Anyone else having troubles getting things public?
