First attempt at shooting star trails. Composite of 150 shots. Each shot was a 30 second exposure.

Bridge between Newport and Jamestown, Rhode Island. Shot from Newport side.

No really, I found a program online called Starstax. Loaded the photos in and it creates a composite. It was a pretty calm night, but the boats still move. So I used two layers in Photoshop. One of the first exposure to use as the foreground and the other layer is the stars from the composite. Put them together using a gradient to remove the blurry foreground boats, and viola...still boats and 2 hours worth of star motion.

Not me I am an impatient F'er. How long do I have to wait for my new desktop background. This picture of the bridge, and the stars, and the boats that took 2 hours to take is getting lame already :mrgreen:

Just playin', cant wait to see what you got.
