2007 Axial West Coast Championships

Was Fishy cold? Long pants, couple layers of shirts(one long sleeve) and that look of being ready to party 8)

It was a little chilly in the morning, but I was more sun/wind burned than anything:shock: The Scale4x4 Comp weekend before started the baking process. I think I took 1st Place on the chapped lips dividsion :???:

Chad-

Almost right down the Middle. Comes down to driver. But when you have alot of good drivers in at once... It's Luck from there on out.... One day I'll get Lucky...

i pulled the brushless out of my 2.2 before the comp. glad i did. now im thinking of pulling it from the super.

anyone know about the 2.2's?

Jake, I was running a 55t integy handwound motor. After destroying an R2, and 2 emaxx trannies with my hyperion brushless motor, I have gone back to brushed in the 2.2. ;-)

out of curiousity. who in the top 5 of each class was running brushless?

I was not running brushless in my 2.2 I do not think any of the top 5 2.2 rigs were running brushless. I have tryed just about every brushless combo and never found one that i liked more than my good old 45 turn

I Knew that trade on the trip down was going to be a bad idea! LOL.

I ran brushless in both my trucks. I'm always surprised to see how many trucks still run lathe motors. But it's been a while since I've run lathe motors, maybe I'm missing something? Smoother startup?

Brushed has a much better start but once you're used to driving brushless it's no big deal.

It's only a matter of time before the BL programming puts BL startup on par with the smooth start of brushed.

I have run brushless and way prefer a brushed. A LOT more controllable at low speeds. Start up is much more predictable and smoother.

With a V10 55t, R2, 16t and 8cells I still get good wheelspeed and have no need for more drag brake than I currently have. That is with a 6lb rig.

after the comp, i drove matts brushed super around a bit and forgot how controlled the brushed motors are. i have also tried numerous brushless set ups and have to agree im going back to brushed for the nationals.

here are some pics that depict the main differences between brushless and brushed motors.
pics 1 - 2 are brushless
pic 3 is brushed

will someone try the link to my photos in the previous page please. It is set to public but still seems to be unviewable. "thumbsup"
