2 speed transmission (conversion) kit?

Got my Gen 8 scout II (my first crawler) back in May and enjoyed it.

Recently upgraded esc/motor (hw1080, HH trailmaster 21t) and noticed the top speed drops. Just wonder if there's any 2 speed transmission kit (or conversion kit) available for gen 8 so that I can have both low speed control and some more top speed.

The other route would be to go brushless (HW Axe / mamba x), which costs 200-300, not quite financially ready yet.

Rig is mainly used for trail run so top speed does help. TIA

There is a 2 speed transfer case that could be adapted to the gen 8 but no direct kit that I know of
Or you could get a bigger battery 3s maybe

Yeah try 3S if you're not already or a bigger pinion, just make sure temps are okay. You should be able to touch the motor and ESC for 5 seconds or so without getting burned.

Definitely keep an eye on motor and ESC temps. The Gen 8 already comes geared pretty fast so you'll likely only be able to safely bump up the gearing a bit before you're gonna be close to thermal limits.
