2.2 Comp Tire Reviews

I haven't had much time to add to this. With Crawlalplooza coming up. I've been busy. We have also had rain for the last 2 weeks. I hate Rain....:(

You gonna be throwing the Leopards into the mix?
Ya I'm going to. The Leopards need one more run on them. Problem is the weather around here as been either freezing Cold or Raining. Which both will give different results from what I have already. So far the Leopards have pulled every line and some new ones. The only thing I'm not liking about them is the width. I wish they were 1/4in to 1/2in Narrower.

Are you going to try the Yellow X locks? just curious if the color pigment would make a difference. I'm running the X locks with stock foams at the moment under my Bully and like how the stock foam holds the sidewall so far. Do you feel the stock foam would be sufficient for the X locks?

VERY excellent write ups and testing. Thank You for all your hard work."thumbsup"

If I can get a set I'll test them against the Others, but I don't see them doing any better.

Yah,I would like to have seen the a little narrower myself.

Seems like they work better when they get scrubbed in too.

What foams are you using?I am running Nova's 2 stages in mine.

Got a set mounted to some 8-shooters, they are the same sticky compound as the black. Gonna get another pair and run'm on the Bully., Man these things flat out STICK to rocks.

I read all this and still got a question. What is the best tire for slick rocks?
I got Chisel's and they don't do well in the wet but are OK on the dry stuff, just need to get a set of wet rock tires!
Thanks Joe

Really what type of rock?
They work like poop out here.

On our outdoor locations, the X-Lock & Panther Cougars work as well as anything else, but on our indoor, quarry rock, they just don't hookup. Neither do the Panther Cougars. I'm now running Medium Rovers on Nova's foams, and they work as well as any other tire on the outdoor rock, and far better than the X-Lock or Cougars indoor. The Panther Leopards also seem to hookup well, but the foam setup is different than the others.
