1938 General Electric Console Radio Resto-Mod

My little mount/alignment system. Oversize thru holes in the aluminum bracket that will allow me to slightly shift the monitor up/down/left/right as needed.

Finally got the front panel, monitor, touchscreen and all the guts assembled into a complete unit.

Then I brought the assembly into the TV room so I could stick it into the cabinet and power it up.

Got the front panel hard-mounted tonight. Just made four brackets real quick from leftover extruded aluminum.

Didn't do anything else to it today. Wanted to get started on the woofer enclosure but I couldn't find the screws I'd bought to assemble it. No amount of searching helped so I decided to clean the garage. Still didn't find them.

Should get the woofer enclosure built tomorrow. From that point I can actually mount the front baffle and start prepping the inside for wiring.

I was messing around and got curious what it would look like so I stuck the lower baffle in place. Need to put more stain on the panel I made for the touchscreen. When it's on par with the rest of the cabinet I'll stain the entire thing again.

That pic also pointed out the slight gap on lower right and top left of the panel. Arrrgh! Didn't see that before. :roll:

I'm not making a new panel. Will paint the bracket black and be done with it.

Damn router won't do such small holes. Had to get the Dremel out. Fawker died today. Fixed it and commenced cuttin' holes for the woofers.

Your insurance dude ever figure out the title situation on the FJ? Would love to come pick it up, title was the hold-up.
