Why doesnt any one make there 1:6 scorpion look like this
There are no scale models in camo. And the military look is not popular at the retailers, so there are no plans for military-looking Scorpions or Jeeps from Funrise.

Personally, I would love to see it happen. The full-size 1:1 will be offered with a discount for Military personnel as a small token of our appreciation for their service.

I have looked for any of the cralwers at all 3 of my local wal marts and none to be found. They also have all the batteries and wheels clearanced. Managers were zero help too. I hate Wal Mart.

Ha guys.

I want one of this so bad:twisted: . BUT................. I live in Sydney, Australia. Do you guys know were or how i can get one of this things???????:?

i have been thinking about getting the nylint crawler for a few weeks now. i have about $230 and i have been looking for a clod aor txt but i was this and now i want a nylint. Just a few questions to seal the deal.
1. how long do the batteries charge for and how long do they last?
2. are the tires soft and grippy?
3. what mods should i do first?
4. how would you rate it on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being a new bright jeep and 10 being a $1500+ comp truck?
5. do you think that it is worth evey penny?
6. last question is, which should i get the 1:6 scorpion or the 1:6 jeep?

Thank you all for your comments!

1. charge for 10 hours, lasts 2+ hours
2. the tires are FAIRLY soft, and grip decently, with some trimming they would be excellent.
3. tummy tuck is a MUST, the ground clearance sucks from the factory. inboarding the rear shocks is also nice, and easily reversible.
4. 6-7 after a couple mods
5. yes, especially now that they are $120, i gave $150 for mine and the price dropped a week later
6. i love my Scorpion, doesn't require fender trimming when you modify the suspension for more flex like the jeep does, and it looks great too.

i would suggest looking for an upgraded chassis. pull the tire through the hole in the box a little bit and look for a metal plate on top of the axle where the steering knuckles mount to it.

there are people on here that talk about how the old chassis is as good or better than the upgraded version, but the fact of the matter is that pretty much everyone has broke the old version within the first couple runs, i have about 8 hours on mine now and have only had one problem.....was driving it around and heard a "pop" and it sounded like soemthing was grinding in the axle....i locked it in low and have not had a problem since.

1. Battery lasts for many hours. It is HUGE. Initial charge 18 hours, after that I run about four. It is sealed lead acid.
2. Very soft, actually deflated. I run on the road for a while to rough them up first.
3. BBs in the tires, with a lubricant (not WD40). Lowers center of gravity and improves grip.
4. Factoring in the cost, 9. The reliability, parts failure due to rampant abuse, drops it from 10. Funrise provides FULL support and will replace any parts that break under warranty.
5. It is absolutely worth EVERY penny.
6. The Scorpion. We license the Scorpion name and likeness and get a royalty for all Scorpions sold, not Jeeps. Also, the Scorpion has better approach and departure angles and is a little lighter body. It also looks cooler in general.

Go to http://rccrawler.com to read what other people think of them. And our testimonials page at http://scorpioncars.com/_comments.htm.

Enjoy!

1. how long do the batteries charge for and how long do they last? Never ran it dead yet, runs for a long time in low though.
2. are the tires soft and grippy? yeah very. I have both scales, and the 1/6th has a lot softer tires. Really gets it done.
3. what mods should i do first? I just flipped the tires. Works great out of the box.
4. how would you rate it on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being a new bright jeep and 10 being a $1500+ comp truck? I give it a 9.
5. do you think that it is worth evey penny? Yep by far.
6. last question is, which should i get the 1:6 scorpion or the 1:6 jeep? Depends what body style you like. I am kinda partial to Jeep.

Thank you all for your comments!

There you go.
