LJD RC's budget straight axle kit

Got the skid and trans installed, now to get a new set of links and a different battery tray. TRX4 links seem to fit perfectly, so I'm grabbing a set of Injora ones. Currently at about $82 into this thing total. Would be nice if I could keep it under $100, but I think I'll end up a little bit over that.

Finally got around to ordering the rest of the parts for this thing. I have a battery tray, servo, and a set of suspension links on the way. Unfortunately I will not be keeping it since I'm saving for a 1/1 and I don't have any new detail clients lined up anytime soon. It was a very fun kit to put together though, I really enjoyed it. I can definitely see myself buying another Vanquish kit again in the future.

Finally ended up finishing this build. Used what remained of my spare parts/upgrades to throw together a fairly nice truck. Put a nice new servo on it, some brass stuff on the front, and a custom battery tray from ebay.

I also am planning to mount this Deadbolt body that I picked up basically for free, though I need to grab some mounts for it.

Unfortunately I won't be keeping this rig, as I'm running low on funding at the moment and am trying to get some of my other builds ready for Axialfest. It was a fun build though and it performs quite well. I wouldn't be opposed to maybe getting a proper straight axle kit sometime in the future. Was definitely a very nice budget build, I'd definitely recommend going this route for those that have some spare parts lying around.
