I'm oncall starting today, but can handle most issues with my pager and cell, hopefully they work down there. My buddy scoped out a place down the road from the dam, walk across the bridge and he said it was pretty good down there yesterday, I guess lots of cool stuff to crawl. In case the ranger throws a bitch about the dam, that maybe an alternative. Don't know, haven't seen it myself. Anyways, sounds good to me as long as I don't get paged when I'm walking out the door...
I know John's in the process of movin the next couple of weeks and I don't think I will be able to make it. Where were you two weeks ago Rus, me and John were waitin for ya.;-) Hope to get out next time, maybe around mid October.

Well I overslept last time didn't get up till 11:00 ... I'm sorry I missed John's Falcon's debut..
From the rusults I've seen of the first two Socal competitions The Cometition seems pretty tuff... I don't know if I'll be able to pull off a 6th place like i did last time in the 2.2 class..Though I hope to actually do better..so I need to practice and I will be at the dam saturday.
The next comp is at Felicita, nice... maybe next week GTG there?
The place you speak of past the Bridge, I have crawled there, Got weird looks from a passing grade school class, Then I saw the signs saying Revegatation project in progress stay on trail.. I didn't see them signs at first because I was behind them stomping around in the brush following my rc rock crawler around.
I haven't seen any such signs by the dam.

LOL!!! Maybe that's why my buddy didn't see them either!! LOL!! Felicita next week sounds cool, I'm still on for the dam tomorrow too.

I'm new to this too, my friend got me into this not too long ago. Where abouts in PB do you usually go?
The SD comp has been moved back a bit due to a conflict with the Ren faire that exteded its stay from one weekend to two. The next comp is at San Pedro. Here is the updated scheduel. I know, it sux's cause now we won't see a comp in SD till March.

Met up with the Muscle on Saturday. Had a blast till we got kicked out by the park ranger. Felicita sounds good for Saturday still.

The ranger said no radio control vehicles are allowed in the park at all cuz' they're a fire hazard. LOL!! We tried to show him that they weren't nitro and do less damage than a mtn bike or hiker. No dice. Cool crawlin' spot though.

I've yet to hook up with you guys. I live in La Mesa now but lived in Escondido for about 30 years. I really need to go check out Felicita Park. How many usually go out there on Sat's. Sounds like Mr. Ranger doesn't like crawler people. I get that a lot with my Helicopters. Our tax dollars at work...
There's a great spot close to my house where I fly my choppers but as of late it's filled to capacity with soccer brats.

Never been to Felicita, that's how new I am at this, but havin' a blast. Where do you live, or where's this spot you fly?

It's a school right up the block from where I live which is on San Carlos Dr. The school is up the street. The main cross streets are Lake Murray Blvd. and San Carlos Dr. A group of us used to fly there every Sunday morning and had a great time. Used to be dirt then they covered it with Astro Turf which of course made it the perfect e-flying field. Even after that Sun mornings were always open until lately. Now it's overrun pretty much seven days a week with freakin soccer people. Every once in awhile the field is clear so I run up and take a few flights. Rarely happens anymore though.

9 am at felicita. The Gates don't open untill 9 am so maybe just a few minutes after 9 then.
