Talk Me Out of Sensored Brushless for MOA??

Just saying ... Hypothetically if you just HAD to go brushless I would think a part of Snub nose Revolvers would work out ok, and because they aren't sensored there are some smaller ESC options. Brushed would still be the better choice because of what was previously mentioned.

That would be my first brushless choice on a moa, dual snub nose motors 1400kv and mamba micro Xs.

That'd be a heck of a rig, showin' up at a competition with dual snub-nosed Revolvers!

It's gonna scare the opposition, the racket it makes when ya fire them up...

(I've got one of the standard 540-sized ones in 1800kv paired with a Mamba X in my Bomber - friggin' awesome combo!)

We are in process of building up duals, but it might be a week or two to get through assembly.

I put matching F/R Crawlmaster Pro 13T motors, 1 Castle BEC and 2 BR Mini's in my cart yesterday and just about went through with it. However, I'm trying really hard to exhibit some semblance of self-control, so I'm gonna try and wait until the duals are ready.

It is SO hard to wait! Point, Click, Ship, Repeat!! That's the root of my addiction and I don't even want help, yet, if ever. All of you RC addicts are nodding your heads about now. You know exactly what I'm saying and you also understand that there is just no explaining this RC addiction to the uninitiated, but WE know! Just because I don't NEED the electronics yet doesn't stop me from desperately wanting to mash the BUY button! I can't believe I am this excited to spend more on brushed electronics than I spent on the new kit!

I'm hoping that in another week or two the big decals are in stock again as well. Those are awesome!

John - Thank you so much for your active participation on this forum! I appreciate it and I'm sure everyone else does, too.

UPDATE: Woo-Hoo! Dual BR mini back in stock already. Order placed...

ORDER #100005713 - PROCESSING

Ahh, the addict in me feels so much better now. Tomorrow is another day! "thumbsup"

I'm in the same boat - 4 years on? Has anything changed? What is the best option out there? Is it still the trailmaster pro for smoothness, or is it the revolver? Or are the brushless today superior to brushless?

most still go with brushed motors. even on sporties. but some are proving outrunners work well in some cases.

in my sporty im running a brushed stubby 35t. only cause i got it on a trade really. looking back id run a 21t or 27t if i had to stay brushed.

as far as brushless goes, your best esc for the easy plug n play would now be the mamba micro x2. motor, meh, take your pick. the more the magnets the smoother it gets.

im building a loosely based xr10 axle rig with portals. going to run 2 mamba micro x2's and my turnigy outrunners i found. both motors are lighter than my 1 stubby. so... the whole cg thing is negated.

Micro x2 would be loud with 2 outrunners. With the lower kv 10pole six shooter inrunner I bet it would be nice.
