The startup on the older Sw3 is not great. They also don't have active drag, or adjustable drag. So if it's for bashing and not crawling. Maybe an enexpensive ebay chinesium motor.

You should get the puller pro 2200kv. I don't think any one ever really buys those old trailmasters.

You can't...Just putting the finishing touches on my SCX10.3. Got my motor and ESC, ended up with a Mamba X and a HH Trailmaster sensored brushless 2700kv. My question is how do I change motor rotation without the Castle Link? I have that ordered, but of course it is on backorder.
If obtaining one tiny now isn't possible, do you know anyone in your general area who has one? They could help you get your initial settings 'in order', so that you'd have an operational vehicle, at least until you can do further programming yourself. Maybe, post in here what city you're in, and, just by chance, someone who is local to you will take notice, and offer to help.Just putting the finishing touches on my SCX10.3. You can also try to find the Bluetooth module. Costs more but it could be a solution.Just putting the finishing touches on my SCX10.3. With the HW, it isn't just that the range "isn't great"...it SUCKS. If I recall correctly, 3ft is the maximum, as reported by most who've tried it. If you're on the driver's stand, and the vehicle is right in front of you on the track, it won't work, as that's still too far. At least the Cattle BT Module works closer to normal BT max distance. You can also try to find the Bluetooth module. Costs more but it could be a solution.
Castle needs to include Bluetooth INSIDE the mamba x ESC. Who cares if it costs a bit more, it would be so much easier...
Hobbywing did it, yeah the range isn't great but again, how far do you work from your bench or truck on the field?
