Hey guys, first time doing 24th scale. Had a 18th Losi truck and HPI road car. But that was 15 years ago. Small scale has come a long way since then.
I ordered a SCX24 Jeep in March right after they went on backorder. It said mid April so I ordered. Well then still haven’t come back in stock. I kept checking eBay and finally found a red deadbolt for an extra $50 and I bought it immediately!
This thing is very impressive out of the box, but because I had one on order earlier, I had already ordered HR brass diff covers, wheel weights, front knuckles and shocks.
The truck handles way better with all that weight down low. Still flips over backwards easier than I would like. Might need some heavier wheels. Also would have liked a little more travel out of the shocks. But we’ll deal with that later.
I then started the ridiculous process of designing tiny 3d printed parts for LED lights. Which I got thinner wire but it’s done so no reason to redo it now. I made a two piece front grill with 3 different filaments. And the same for the rear. Wired it all up using the stock receiver which I am very impressed with.
