I just pre-ordered this rig. Kind of an impulse purchase. It seems to have some pretty nice included options for the price. Any thoughts?

There are a few Cross trucks in our crawling group. Quality so far seems pretty good.....for the price of them, it had better be!

I like it. It's overpriced at the moment. But as OSRC said I know somebody that is very happy with his CrossRC stuff and he likes it more than his RC3WD trucks.

$550 seems pretty reasonable to me considering what it comes with.

Hobbytown USA, Oshkosh WI. I ordered the SG4C kit, which includes the CNC metal axle housings among other upgrades. Can't wait to unbox it! If you start adding up metal axle housings, CVD's, hard body cab, winch, beadlock wheels, light kit, threaded aluminum shocks, ect. it's not too bad of a price.

You gonna let me try it out? Lol

Yes. The axles, gearbox and T-case are preassembled. I plan to go through each assembly and lube as needed.

The upgraded axles on the "C" version are very similar to RC4WD K44's, so I'm happy I spent the extra $100. I haven't had much time to do anything more than look at the parts, but the weekend is near.

Steel C channel chassis, aluminum crossmembers, steel sliders and cage parts, aluminum links, steel door bars.

Thanks for link, I read all that when they were announced not too long ago, might as well pony up and get the nice steel and aluminum options considering what you're paying already. "thumbsup"

Lots of aluminum and steel.

Looks very nice and pretty! Git building, painting and posting so we can drool a little more! Can't wait to see it on the trail and hear what your impressions are! 8)"thumbsup"

Edit; taht's fricking hawt! Would be cool to have leaf spring option at least in the rear. :)

Not sure about this gearbox, but the 2 speed one will need some looking at before putting it in the car ( lube )
And another guy having the same 2 speed gearbox as in my friends tow car (PG4L )
Well that's extremely loud, even overpowering my friends PG4L though its 2X further away.

But as i said the PG4L is another gearbox.
