Brand new out of the box. Throttle channel will not centre. Everything is zero'd still has the fat block on ch2. Now if I play with sub trim and trim settings I can get it to centre. Still dose not help me as there is no "throw/travel" it moves maybe 1/32 of an inch?

It will bind to an esc but virtually won't work.
Have my other brand new 4pls and it works fine.

From this thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/electronics/568141-4pls-r2106gf-throttle-issue.html

'Well, I fixed the damn thing. ESC in channel 2. RX mode S-FHS (High). Ended up playing with the throttle sub trim and after turning it all the way up to 100% the ESC came alive (and my truck drove off the table, rookie mistake lol). All the throttle / braking / reverse functions seem to be completely working. I haven't had a chance to try the second RX yet but hopefully the same settings work. Thanks for playing along...'

Another thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/electronics/469418-futaba-4pls-mmp-arming-issue.html

'I took exocaged s advice and tried a diff esc. Again it wouldn't arm. For grins I did what lilpanther suggested and went thru calibration with the diff esc. It recognized it and successfully calibrated and then successfully armed.

I assumed it wouldn't calibrate if it couldn't arm out of the box. With all my other cheap radios the mmp has always armed even without calibration. Is there something in the programming of the futaba radios that prohibits them from working without calibration?

Dna'

The forward dose show the very slightest increase but reverse make no change..

I can get it to connect to an esc.. But there is no throttle control or enough to throttle input to make it operate. Also transmitter will not complete the adjustment test/check as there is no control?

In the 2nd thread I posted, he had the same problem and recalibrate the esc fixed it. Or maybe turn up your trim to 100%, rebind and calibrate again and see if anything happens?

Nope still the same.. Wheels will only turn one direction. But won't even turn enough to to make it move. Change to a different transmitter and works perfect. I guess what it must be is the trigger was not calibrated correctly? I'll call futaba tomorrow and ask them. Will also talk to the lhs owner which I hate doing as his customer service is the absolute worst I have seen. He always makes it out to be the users fault, will rarely hand a replacement over the counter when it's clearly a defective item. He will make you wait while he contacts his supplier, the. Send it back and wait for new one haha.

Hmmm weird. Take your other good RX and bind it to the remote in question and see what happens. And vise versa, put none working RX with good remote. Maybe pin point which one is acting up.

Ive had mine for a few years now. This just happened today and I just used it this weekend. I played with everything and nothing worked so I turned it off and smacked it against my hand a few times then turned it back on. It's working fine now. I think it's a hardware issue within the trigger assembly. Probably the pot. It'll do till i can get the new 4pv or that fancy 7px
