Man I would love to visit there! Me and the wife love rock climbing. (Not rock crawling guys, though we love crawling to!"thumbsup") That's cool though! I don't think I would lug my E-Maxx with me on a hike that long though!

Absolutely beautiful country!

#6 looks savage! What conditions...great shot!

#8 - cave crawling? And that appears to be a man made structure in the cave...?

Thanks for sharing.

EDIT: Awesome Web Page you have with all those pictures and information.

Awesome!! I am going to start bringing a crawler with me more on my ventures through the mountains.

What is the highest elevation you have had your crawler up to? Lowest?

Do you run most of the trail with it or carry it most of the time?

What batteries and equipment do you use on the E-Maxx?

Hi, # 8 trail to the highest peak in the province, passing through San Adrián tunnel that consists of a natural cave carved by water erosion in the rock http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Adrian_(tunnel) with an opening on either side north and south, it also holds an inside small hermitage.

The highest elevation reached my Emaxx is 2808 m [9210 ft], starting from a height of 1900 on the snow. the maximum gradient have been 1150 m
Well over 95% of the mountain walks are done with the car on its wheels, but if I have to take it by hand is never more than 10 strides in a few steps in vertical rock . Except of course when batteries run out, usually at the end of the return :D

Usually carry between 25000 and 40000 mah in several double packs of 3600/4400 depending on the hike and duration.

The main and most effective modifications were:
Two differential locked, 8 modified Bigbore shock with double spiral of different hardness, RPM Arms, all rubber sealed bearings, Mip CVD, robinson racing gears, ratio of 9 / 72, waterprooffing, improve and extend the skid plates, tire chains and nails, extendable dog leash for dangerous passes.

Wonder what Traxxas would give to get a picture of a Summit up on top there! And Patrick has been to what 14,000ft+ crawling yea?

That E-Maxx has seen more beautiful scenery than most humans will in their lives! Thanks for sharing "thumbsup"

Mileage? is difficult to estimate, certainly more than 600 miles, maybe 700 in three years.
That includes many vertical drop meters and certainly very bad trails.
Of course there have been changes of motors and many hop ups that have led to the final solution.
My Emaxx has come a point where after 6 mountain outings was not necessary to do any maintenance.
A little lazy too.
#23 Moncayo Peak. 2315m from 1600m.
Link trail #23 http://translate.google.com/transla.../treewebs/t rucktrial/moncayo.htm&sl=es&tl=en

There are a lot of stones in some sections, not all easy.

#24 Orhi peak. First 2000m from the sea of the western Pyrenees
Well, this is what happens when the digital photo camera breaks down, and besides, the old analog processing machine is jammed.
The objective of the hike. Is not nice?

Hike # 28 Attempted ascent of Canal Roya. Servo breakage due to ice.
This is the Aspe peak ,in te same valley.
http://translate.google.com/transla.../treewebs/trucktrial/can roya.htm&sl=es&tl=en

canroya006.jpg

We have several ºC degrees below zero and the path goes through small ice waterfalls.
canroya004.jpg

Unfortunately after hour an accumulation of ice on the steering linkage and servo saver has caused a rupture in Hitec 645MG servo engranages. From th
at day I always include a servo spare in my backpack :?

Trail 29# CanalRoya II. Second attempt

Definitely CanalRoya valley pass does not seem a good place for my emaxx.
One week after breaking the servo because of the ice, I return to the same place.
After long time of walking, and in the better part of the hike, broke his right rear link.
Accumulated in two weeks two of the three major breakdowns suffered in the Emaxx for three years

IMO this brandt makes very good and strong products. The arms of my Emaxx are RPM and have never been broken.
I had heard of Rpm True Track but did not know, however appear to be directly applicable only on new models.

The next route is hivernal and under severe conditions, traversing part of the Ordesa National Park surrounded by several 10800 ft peaks.

You're probably not allowed to go with an electric RC in the park so we decided to go a little before dawn and before the guards started their round.

That was shortly before 7 am at the beginning of February.
All quiet and cold, only the tires breaking the rime created an unreal ride

WoW those are some sweet pic's. You should send them to Traxxas and see if they would give you a Summit just for some shots of it for them to use. 8)

The manufacturer has never shown any interest or curiosity about these pictures and activities even though that is one of the most read thread on the
ir Emaxx forum . I must understand that their business interests are focused on a discipline with a greater number of potential customers. Despite th
is, his attitude of complete indifference, it seems strange. :?
