9:00 Sunday update.

Yesterday afternoon John from HPI brought his personal Wheely King along with a few of his colleagues over to the RCP Crawlers crawling course. John's Wheely King is mostly stock with only a few modifications to make it into a really fun and capable crawler. The truck was a blast to drive and fortunately for several other guys watching, John passed his controller around for everyone to enjoy.

John started off by locking the front and rear diff's with JB-Weld, then he stretched the wheel base to 12 1/4" with a 60/40 link configuration. For a little bling John added a set of aluminum HPI MT2 shocks with Wheely King springs in the front and MT2 springs in the rear.
The steering servo John installed is a Hitec 645MG and to power the crawler up and over the rocks John installed a Mamba 25 ESC with a Revolver 2 2215 brushless motor. The rims are single narrowed by cutting the outside of the bead off and wrapped with a set of Masher 2k's.

Thanks to John and the team over at HPI for bringing over their HPI Wheely King for many of us to enjoy. It was cool to see the HPI team enjoying crawling the Wheely King so much on the huge RCP Crawler course, I think a few of them are got the crawling bug.

Stay tuned for a video of the HPI Wheely King on the RCP Crawlers course!

Sunday update.

Check out the new 2.2 Hustler from RCP Crawlers. It's the same quality and great looking compitition level tube as it's big brother the Hustler only in a 2.2 form.

Sunday wrap up.

RCX came and left very fast. John Billig and the RCP Crawlers crew did another amazing job in building this years new larger RCP Crawling course. The RCP Crawlers booth was the busiest booth in the entire show, it was great to walk around and every time you came back to the RCP booth there were always spectators watching and talking to the guys.

Below you can see the smiles on the HPI guys faces at the end of the day as they were running in a follow the leader trail run.

The end of the day was here and we had to tear down the RCP Crawlers course and booth. It was a lot of work but with the amount of people we had working on it, the job seemed to go pretty fast.
Thanks to Brian for his hospitality inviting us Nor-Cal guys and the So-Cal guys over to his house both Saturday and Sunday night for a great BBQ dinner. It was a nice way to end a busy day with great food and chatting with the crew about what all went on throughout the day.
