My first post and my first build lol Jeep Wrangler unlimited body ;-)

Ok so this is everything I purchased for the build well most of it atleast

Ok so let's get started. I began with a honcho scx10 chassis and axels.
b41bb5932b36da95e215adcaeeda51e3.jpg

So my jeep I wanted it to be off road looking and sticking with the apocalypse theme so I figured what better way then bucket lights, so I purchased some of axial's universal 3 bucket light bar. And test mounted them to the roof
b07f74e10d41eea6a91f3039adc423dc.jpg

After receiving my rc4wd roof rack I decided I didn't like the hight of the light bar so I made some adjustments to make them level to the rack

This is the after I adjusted it

So next I threw on the jk recovery bumper from rc4wd and mounted the winch and bucket lights to it.

On the chassis as you can kinda see I through on metal steering links and the classis mounted servo mount from level3
I need more lights lol. So why not cowl lights right!

I also put some fab keys on and purchased fender wells front and back from knight customs on shape ways

Here is the modification I had to do in order or fit them with the fab keys

Sorry still learning how to post and the easiest way of doing so lol any ways carrying on. I also wanted to do side markers for night runs.
b6493c6cd1aeedc0b1978d29e3f80982.jpg

As well as a sweet snorkel from knight customs as well I think this was a great addition
1e8ae91e4b4794ab8c1e72c46ae090ab.jpg

I didn't like the silver from the Pan hard lot so I decided I would paint it black

Finished product

Finally I think it's time to paint!

Couldn't just be on the hood I needed it on the sides as well

c6eff3e3c7580f56532424d61c39976a.jpg

Surprise lol I ordered some paint masks just for the theme Wooo this is gonna be freaked awesome!
bba5c795114ab4e076dbc499a1a8cba3.jpg

6f6bf4e713d9f7894ade31c050f72d9e.jpg

And yes I painted the blood splatter to the inside so it won't crape off over time.

I ended up painting the body a gray because looking at our group San Antonio Crawlers no one really had a grey rig and plus the grey just looks nice on it. Took me a good week to decide the paint and how to do the splatter affects. I have a box full of plastic pieces from different items just to use as test templets. And I'm so glad I did that instead of trying a one shot attempt.

88c163e4d11b4819f995b749b3f43e44.jpg

For the interior I wanted to paint everything different colors or shades instead of keeping it all one color and relying on the decals to put color into it
b91a8e5a8481a1817cfe1235a390ac05.jpg

Making the seats at two tone design was a pain in the butt, but glad I did it

This is my finished product

For the body I absolutely hate body pins so I decided to ask around and see how other individuals were completing the mission, I got told a lot about Velcro and magnets so I decided to use both. It gets the job done but my fear is a roll over is going to send my body flying but we will see
9f8d2d57374a671a85e870a53440f33e.jpg

Next It was time to add the decals or parts of the decals like seat belts and cup holders and the trunk decals
02a46c486137291f1380f8a87793ccc6.jpg

I saw from some one else on here how they did a light up gps and instrument cluster so I gave it a shot

And it came out pretty good
76dd46bbc1a8ea9aae046aa4c5076e7d.jpg

Last step was the steering wheel and the gear stick then it was time to piece it all together

Looks great, love the blood splatter, mind sharing how you did it. Looks pretty realistic for what I'd imagine.

Now for my rig I wanted to get it as detailed as I could do I figured I would build an exhaust which again I can't take the credit for because I learned from another person on here I believe.

Now this next add in I can take the credit for lol so I wanted to make scale antennas similar to what you would see on military vehicles.

For the blood splatter I did it two ways for two different affects
1. For the top layer in the first blood splatter was a darker shade of red and brown mixed to give the look of chunky meat kinda look. So I dipped the end of a wooden stick (I used the end of a q-tip stick the long one) then I placed it close to the body and with my mouth I just blew as hard as I could trying to funnel the air with my lips directly towards it. The reason I did it this was was because it didn't disipate as much so it left a heavier and chunky splatter.
2. For the bottom layer I used a brighter red. Try to keep the shades as close as possible but different at the same time idk how to explain it, I guess to say don't make it so bright red it don't look right just need it a shade brighter to separate the two colors. But anyways. So the process is the same dip the stick but instead of using your mouth I used my airbrush and shot out burst of air which caused it to disipate more so it was a fine splatter that covered more area and a little further. Also when you blow or use an airbrush. Do it at an angle so it goes the direction you want. And Gravity helps to.

Now it's time for more detailing. Iv added door handles, gas cap, and light buckets. Oh and a scale fire extinguisher.

For lighting I decided to stick with the axial NVS because it's just pretty freaked awesome.

Alright so the more and more I look at it the more and more I fall in love with it lol but my only thing is.... It needs more lights!!!!

Yeah I know I'm missing one bucket I lost one so I ordered more lol

Next upgrade was the rock sliders
8926b2894aa03ab1c09a564ecdcef68d.jpg

I upgraded to some vanquish rock sliders and boy are they cool. What I like about these is that they grab the body and hold on to it snug. Give me more confidence that the body won't go flying in a roll over.
975dfaa4f0fcaaacd96dd8433f85e774.jpg

The only problem I had was. These are meant to sit at only one position they are not hight adjustable and my rigs body sits a little tall so I had to make some copper plates to raise the mounting points for it

Next project I wanted was scale windshield wipers so I found these
ee5d4478d9cf2fb05c0772ff4662d94c.jpg

55a1ab004ec2fcc8cde9b80236712090.jpg

Of course they needed a little modification to work which was easy to fix. If you hear up the wipers with a lighter they become easy to mold and flex into the direction and shape you need. Just do this with caution so you don't completely burn or melt them to the point they are just trash

2c6afe51518a0a5327f0794adc096e84.jpg
finally I'm coming to the end where I currently stand with the project. I upgraded some of the parts to metal and will eventually paint them black as well.

Also I purchased the Rc4wd 4ch rx/tx and water prodded the receiver.
3dcf9b95ce4fba5296f77101c8f876d6.jpg

And last thing I did the other day was make my axial NVS run the on and off switch for the aux lights with my ch3 switch

Looks good so far

Thank you :)

So I'm just about finished with wiring up the NVS and water proofing it. Just finished soldering and now I'm sealing it in an extra electronics box I had. Modified it a little so the wires would stick out and the lid would close. Then I covered all the cracks with plasti dip

Great work and detail.

Amazing build, looking forward to seeing some outdoor shots when its done.

James.

Well of course a rig is never completely done but I did finish for the most part I kinda just forgot to post on here and my other thread. But I'll post some below
