Wroncho Link Help

this is how i did mine. i made a plate. i took the scx10 frame and then put the TCS X-Trail Scale Chassis for the Axial AX10 on top of it to get all the upper link holes that were on the ax10 on to a template. so they are all stock hole location from both frames put together. worked out well for me.

I have the perfect setup for a wroncho. buy a set of vp bent links, then take the lower links and mount them to the outside of the frame. its the same locations as the stock is, but just moving them to the outside. I did this and trust me this setup is perfect. no bending your own links, its easy and all you need are bent vp link set.

Benjamin, got any pics of this. I was thinking of doing exactly what your talking about and could use a few pics!

Thats how mine are done as well. Except I mounted mine inside instead of outside.

KBess, do you think everything would still clear if you have the tranny flipped around so the drive line was straight?

No it wont clear. The uppers and lowers will sandwich the drive shaft. Even though the angles on the drive shaft yokes and cup look like they will bind, they really wont. The yoke spins smoothly in the cup!!!

Heres a pic of the angle. Not too bad. Get some MIPS and their wont be any issues period.

I'm still in the middle of putting my wroncho together. The front I'm planing on a cms set up so I'll just eliminate the upper link that typically hits the drive shaft. For the rear I'm copying my buddies set up and moving around link positions. I'll get some pictures up by the weekend. All links I am using are the vp wraith links

Here is how I have mine set up. Still needs drive shafts but I copied my buddy Elio's set up and his doesn't bind and clears the shafts. By helped me button it up to a complete roller this weekend

Are uppers and lowers just VP bent? Really thinking about doing this now and want to do it as simple as possible!

Yes they are. I can help you with measurements on the rear spacers to clear the drive line. Another way is to run a wraith skid in scx frame rails and make custom braces for the frame. Many ways to skin a cat "thumbsup"

Zoom in on the pic. You can see the link size, where he put spacers and even the bent links. Can also see that the links run under the driveshafts not over
