I want to get a wraith rtr and have an idea of upgrades that i should get.. but what is the best set up? (gears, diff gears, shocks, lowering kits, upgrades and all)

There is no "the best". Its all dependent on personal taste, budget, and how you're going to use the rig.

Your best bet is to start reading up on things. You can throw a lot of money on stuff that either you don't need or isn't what you wanted. We have a section dedicated to the Wraith...start reading through the threads and you'll get a feel for what you need to do. "thumbsup"

The best set up is your personal preference. Drive the truck and figure out what it is you feel it needs or can do better. You may also want to check out the stickies in the top of the wraith section for ideas.

But I feel that the two first mods that would be the most beneficial would be the battery forward and tires. Just from my experience so far.

Run it in RTR form, find the trails etc you are going to be using the most and see how it performs.

In the meantime read the forum threads, plus there are others in the axles/transmission forum and elsewhere (Formula Offorad section if thats your thing)

I read over 1000 pages of Wraith threads while waiting for my kit and hop-up parts to arrive - it really helped my choice of components.

There are some free mods such as..

flipping over the lower linl mounts, and reversing the rear upper shock mounts that will lower ride height / CofG
Propshafts can be strenghtened with M6 bolt or threaded rod
moving the battery to the front

watch motor / esc temps - you may need to buy a smaller pinion gear.

After that you'll have an idea of what you want to improve and how much you want to invest.
