Winter Snowcrawl Series #3

Hey guys. Bad news. I completely failed at getting my shift covered in such short notice. So..... I will not be able to make it. My redemption will have to wait til next time. I will be working til close, so if any of you wanna swing by and gimme the details, that would be great! "thumbsup"
Well dammit I wanted to see more DNFs!

That's my mentality! Hence the carnage at the last event..... Maybe you can put on a good show for the guys since I cannot!

Don't worry... I am sure I can fill that need for you. I have not driven my rig in 4 months.. And when in doubt.... Throttle out.... Right?

So sorry to disappoint you grunt!! I will make sure to make up for it at the next event. Well, as long as you give more than 5 days notice! :flipoff:

Its ok I wont be making this one either and hey I created the event as soon as I got the info. Phil was on a snowmobile trip so we were not in contact.

Had a great time today! Felt good to get the G6 out. I am out of practice to say the least. Now to fine myself a 2.2 rig to start building up!

Not a whole lot of pics today. Plenty if video to go through.

Phil and I had a little tug of war. Left some serious burnout marks in the concrete after I was able to edge home out.

Only carnage I had on the day was running my yeti outside. Landed awkward on the left rear and this happened.

WOW! What a blast! Let's do this again, soon, like .
Here are the results, if I'm reading the scribbles correctly:

Greg won the 1.9 class with 5:46 clock time, 1 touch (+:15), 2 bonuses (-1:30), for a total of 3:31.
Dana took second (owe ya a beer, Greg!) 3:49, 3 touches and a bonus cancel each other out, 3:49. Dana likes his bonus lines!
Derek took third, 6:17 clean and a bonus is 5:32. Nice!
I took 4th with Clyde. I keep waiting for the magic smoke to depart my Tekin 35, noisy bastard it is, but it just keeps chuggin' along. 6:59, 1 HOG and 2 bonii, 5:59.
Barry B, 7:21, 4 touches, 1 HOG, and 2 Bonus are a wash, 7:21.
Mitch got the Stubborn Award for not wanting to touch his truck (except to fix it) and lost about 5 minutes scraping the paint off the slider. Time management, Coach!! Only 15 seconds to kick it over. Ten minutes!

I'm happy to see so many of you guys building rigs and stayin' as scale as you can! It's a blast watching your rigs run in my garage, well worth the effort expended.
I'm also happy to have met all the new guys! Byron is gonna be even more fun this year!

OK, 2.2s:
Derek and Greg tied for 1st @ 2:52. Derek did it one touch, one bonus; Greg did it three touch, two bonus.
Dana got 2nd. D & G, you're gonna have to split a beer on this one, I'm cheap. :) 5:19, 3 touch 2 bonus, 4:39
Miguel took third with 4:50, 5 touches and a bonus is 5:20. Nice job!
I took 4th with my unfinished rig, 5:35, 3 touches and a bonus wash.
Even with a servo trying to die, Kevin finished at 5:33. The 9 touches brought it up to 7:48. Gotta steer 'em somehow!

In the Pro class, we had 5 rigs run. Dana chalked up 3 reverses and two progressions before a DNF.
Matt had 4 reverses, 4 progressions and 4 gates before his DNF
Chris had 2 reverses, 3 prog's and 4 gates. 12
Barry had 3 reverses, 5 prog's and 3 gates. -17
Adam had 2 reverses, 2 prog's and 4 gates. 22

If the weather stays like this, I'm going to try to get a little thing set up over across the road, so make sure to waterproof your rig for that one!

The next one is gonna be on the 22nd of this month. D'YA HEAR THAT, Annie-Stage-Ya? Almost 3 weeks notice! The one after that is tentatively scheduled for Mar 8th, both at 1 pm.

Thanks, everyone, for all the help running this thing, and for showing up! Good times!!

No more signup, the law of averages seems to be keeping the number to a manageable level, so PM me if you are planning on coming and I'll give you my address.
