Why is Driver Figure so Important in Crawlers/Trailtrucks?

Ego - Scale realism - Humor = pick one :flipoff:

With the advent of 3d printers in everyone hands these days they can print most any figure. At nearly any scale. Years back that was not so easy to obtain.

Now I'm more into articulated figures. And bigger scale everything.
Bonus points if you can animate your driver figure 8)

1/6 scale with a fully articulated(poseable)
complete 12" GI Joe body and companions.

animation --> aka doll play ! LOL

Smaller scale is tougher to do. But it could be made to happen ;-)

Yup, every truck (or car) needs a driver, otherwise it looks empty. Here's one of mine.

I think it's fun having a driver in a scale/trail rig.
My son thinks it's cool, too. lol
In our fast cars we don't typically add a driver.

When they have it they look ALOT more real and great.
I'm not the type of person who tells others how they should enjoy their hobby but since you asked... I couldn't disagree more.

I find that these fake figurines ruin the whole illusion because they are just too stiff and stagnate. Have you ever been off-roading or seen videos of real people driving real off road rigs? They are anything but stiff and stagnate.

So I personally don't have any figurines in my RC's and I doubt I ever will but to each their own. If that makes you happy then have at it.

My bro uses a woman wrestling figurine in his truck. No one else in our group has a figurine in their truck. I'll pass on a figurine but some of you guys have come up with some outstanding figurines in your trucks. Great imagination and detail.

Each to it's own...I think that the trucks need a driver, specially the ones that are open top

Last time I've drove with other people, no one had figures but their rigs were more performance oriented . There was guys who never had seen a truck with driver , besides online

In my opinion, it helps with the illusion. About being "static", I'm more a photo kind of guy so it doesn't matter

This is another Willys, from a friend

I have a 1:6 figure on the 1:6 Willys, a 8" Mcfarlane on the JK, and 7" on the M548 and Unimog

In my opinion, without driver don't work at all

but this hobby has much to do with personal preferences

I agree. Without the driver, the Jeep won’t drive. Someone has to be behind the wheel![emoji16]

Anyone use the CyberPunk figures?
I'm looking for a good head swap for the SCX10 iii.
I've not seen these in person yet, so curious as to scale.
Anyone have ideas or pics?

I was debating figures or not but just got these two characters that just happen to fit perfectly inside. I would of walked past these if it wasn't for the good wife lol Anyways, I do like how they look inside.

The driver has all points of contact which I likey. Kept the stock seats and just zip-tied them in.
