Hey guys, it looks like there's enough of us that have picked up TRX-6's that I can start this thread up and going!

Here's my trx6 to many mods to say. [emoji28]

But my favorite mod is air suspension it helps a ton on the trail and rocks.

Post anything of what you did with your TRX-6 today. Maintenance, upgrades, crawls, trails, pics, a video anything.

What have you done with your TRX-6 today?

Stuck my new TRX6 on the wheel scale as to have a baseline for any mods.

Then I took it out for a test drive. Watched tons of videos before I bought it but I will say that is crawls as well as expected.

Been working on the new TRX6 most of the afternoon. The metal servo horn arrived in the mail so the 1st thing I did was change out the servo to a TPro MG958 which is what I use on most of my rigs. I then proceeded to make a tonneau cover out of Kydex.

While the glue was drying on the tonneau cover frame I installed some brass portal covers. After a couple of outings I think the front need a little more weight. We'll see this helps.

I dislike the look of bright brass portals on rigs so I used some brass blacking agent on them. Didn't exactly follow the directions and this is how they ended up. I'm ok with the dirty look. We'll see how this hold up after some crawling.

Saturday I put some magnetic body mounts on the TRX6 & at the same time fixed the lights so the would be connected and disconnected with the body mounts. As simple as soldering the wires to washers under the magnets.

Not the prettiest glue job but gets the job done

Like the paint job!! Don't think I've heard of air ride suspension for RC cars. More details please.

Capo air ride you can program it to help with sidehills or climbs, you can lower the front or rear independently or sides independently.

I'm a big fan of the HW1080 so I ditched the stock esc and replaced it with a HW1080. Used my normal setting but it needs a little tweaking, guessing it's because of the weight or I fat fingered it when setting it up.

I finally got around to installing a castle BEC to power my server at 7.4v The stock rec box did not have enough room neither did the extended one that comes in a bundle with the traxxas BEC. But with the magic of a dremel and glue i put them together to give myself more then enough room

Hello
Just joined but have been following posts for a while. I put the black body in the box after purchasing the Traxxas Trx-6. I will post pics after I learn to navigate the site. I bought two Proline Dodge Powerwagon bodies and joined them together.

That should be an interesting body for the TRX6, can't wait to see the pictures of it.

I am not shure what I am doing here about transferring photos and how to size.

Thank you...it was a fun 1st build. I have made my Defender into a pickup but that has been the extent of my truck body mods.

Thank you....I was able to stuff in the motor speaker up front but could not lower the body anymore.
