Been useing Deans since I fused my Tamiya one's togther on my RC-10 using a 6cell to a Novak 410-m5 hard wired to a 12turn quad motor.

I have heard that the resistance value of the knock off deans is much higher then that of the true deans plug... I havent taken a resistance reading myself, because I only buy real Deans, this is just something I heard.

I 2nd soldering them together (male/female plugged in) the other one will act as a heat sink and your less likely to melt the prongs in the connector...been there done that. Plugging them in together helps make it much easier.

I use Deans mostly, with a few Tamiya's thrown in there.

I definitely see some room for improvement with the Deans, but they're pretty much the standard, so thats what I go with.

hmmm... burned myself on my tamiyas over the weekend... maybe I need to upgrade :D
(16t x2 with LRP AI esc in a stadium truck).

Sermo's all the way. I love how they universally connect. I can make a 12 cell pack in just seconds by cliping connectors together. I also like how the terminals are tucked away.

The only down fall I have found is that on a hard crash the connectors can be jarred loose. When I used to race if I came up to short on a jump it usually means I lost the race. Little Electrical tape or zip tie fixed the issue.

Deans are the thing on my HPI Micro RS4's... "thumbsup" I kept the tamiya loose plug for possible use later on down the road.

Chances are deans will find a comfy home in my crawler...lol.
