The Servo doesn't have enough Toruqe IMO, and as far as i know it has plastic servo gears.

No the 5645mg is not waterproof AT ALL. It's no different than any other Non-Real h2o proof servos

If it fits then I'd say it's good. Otherwise just pack the servo up with dielectric grease or balloon it for h20 proofing

brushless? Water?? Good-Bad???

Castle creations 5700 brushless and water????? I break in brushed in water and i know that works. I don't intend to do that on the brushless, but will it hurt the motor. I read this whole thread and I cant find a real answer. I have heard rumors that this is bad and if so what can i do? I don't want to keep it from cooling.:!::!::!:

Regarding brushless and water, I think it depends on wether your motor is SENSORED Brushless or SENSORLESS. Sensored brushless and water don't mix.

i have a waterproof xl-10,tazer,hpi recever,etc.. just use liquid electical tape. take the case off paint the board like 4 times and it wp. easy."thumbsup"

what's to breaking with a brushless??? bearings? just go slow for a bit, make sure things are moving, maybe oil them and then go..or am I way off



I was wondering about LIPO's, Should they be extra waterproofed?? do they put out much heat like the nicad or nimh?? if so, what would be the best way to waterproof the battery with out damaging it?

I dunno if you guys have ever heard of Outerwearsbut they make prefilters for airfilters on dirt bikes quads dirt frame car etc. I have one on my quad air filter and it really keeps out the big crude. They are now making covers for RC eletric motors just google it to find them. They will work great to keep mud out of your motor and also let it breath but they are not waterproof. They will work great for brushed motors I plan on gettin one myself. Also I was wondering if anyone has put an esc in the Traxxus waterproof reciever box if there is room for wires and whatnot. I have a Tekin FXR crawler and it is small and was wondering if you could fit the reciever and esc in one of these boxes. Also what does everyone do about bearings such as wheel bearings. I was thinking just a coat of grease on the outside would do the trick and just keeping them clean. The only problem is on AX 10 axles they are kinda hard to get to to clean everytime. Well if anyone has suggestions that would be great. I'm a mechanic and swear by dielectric grease so that's the way I'm goin with connections and servos.

Here may be a fix to anyones motor problems, i have never tried one but i have heard that they work. I know that you don't need one, but it may help stuff from getting into your motor. They claim that it is waterproof.

It'll work, you'll just have to completely cover all electronic parts

outerwears make covers for eletric motors and you can put the reciver in plastic wrap
