viper's creeper build

cool show em how it's done bud .

on another note i took my step-son out to the last comp cause he was showing interest in my crawlers and he drove a little on my backyard course . we decided that he would try his hand at comping , so long story short he took 8th place at his first comp and really his first time driving the rig for more than 5 min . so now i may have to build another rig for him .

well we had our last comp of the season today , fun was had by all . the sportsman courses were difficult ( i set all three courses with the help of another club member ( thanks chain link ) . right now i am waiting on the scores but i am pretty sure the creeper and me showed 'em ( pretty sure i took first again ) "thumbsup"

sweet bro, keep them other guys disapointed ;-)

now i am trying to decide if changes are gonna be made to the creeper , chassis
,suspension , etc. . it does well now but it has areas that could be improved . can't decide , if i do change things then i have to get used to a new rig but is it worth it if i can improve the abilities of my creeper .

congrats on your win viper, sounds like your rig is doing pretty good the way it's setup now.

Yeah, I have been looking for a set for a crawler for my stepson , since he enjoyed the comp that he attended . I talked to him today and he said he did want to go to comps this year, so now I get to build another comp rig for him .

Sorta opposite from our house, my son started with a crawler (he had already been driving offroad RC) the spring of 2010 & I drove him to comps.
This past Christmas he built me a 2.2 Bully which I still run.
Now we both comp, he does 1.9 & 2.2 (the 2.2 is either his Creeper or a Bully MOA) and I run the 2.2 Bully (although I am building a 1.9).

Regardless, it is a decent way for us to spend time together doing something. It also allows time for "problem solving".

yeah my son had r/c vehicles before and so did i ,i got into crawling and he saw me practising and got interested so i took him with me to a comp and he drove my creeper and finished in 8th place out of 10 and he was hooked . so i have been secretly collecting parts for him so i could build him a rig to drive .

i was the direct opposite. i started with RCs and after my dad saw me having fun with them and and seeing how much i was learning from racing them that he actually went out and bought himself a car to run. we are running the same cars and all the same parts and gearing and we are the top ones in our class aat our LHS
