I decided to keep the front bumper in the natural steel look. polished it up and put on several coats of wax.

I think im done with the frame parts now. Just need to do some touch up paint on a few places, and make something to mount electronics under the hood area. Then on to the body mods . Lots of plastic to remove / re-shape.

Just noticed it has been almost 2 years since my last post.
Been busy with other projects.
I did manage to make front wheels wells, rear cargo doors, and a new rear bed to replace stock one.
I will eventually cut up the stock body from the front of the doors back and re-make interior from windshield area to the bed. It will have no doors and will make new seats and dashboard.
Here are some pics of progress.

Still need to cut holes for rear lights and modify the rear fender flares.
The plan is to spray the entire inside and underside once the rest of the seat area is done with rust-oleum truck bed liner. Did a test piece and it looks great.
more to come.

Been busy with the bodywork.
Wasn't happy with the bed, I forgot to make the drop-off section on the inside.
So a little cutting and re-shaping and its done.
Also cut up the hardbody, leaving just the front section. made the transition pieces to bridge the bed and the front section. Will be adding a floor, once I see how much room I need for the battery. It will look like the original tranny hump. Will also be adding the firewall, new dash, heater, gas tank, center console, seats and rollbar. Will also need to re-work the windshield a bit.All matching my 1:1.

What’s different on your 1:1 windshield if you don’t mind me asking? Do you have pics by any chance? Thanks - enjoying this build...clean work.

I haven't looked at it a lot, but the model windshield frame is too thin for one thing, and the taper looks wrong. Will get to that part of the build a little later.
Have lots of pics of my 1:1 when it was all apart for the restoration. Plus it is in my garage. Sometimes I am taking meausurements three or four times a day off of it.
Working on the floor now and getting it all tied together to make sure it is strong.
