I started this build a few days ago. It's a replica of Tim Cameron's southern buggy game changer. Still need a little more work.

I built one of these chassis...very challenging for sure. You've got it pretty spot on, nice job.

Got bends? Holy. Nice work tim, can't wait to see this one done up. It looks a bit larger than your previous chassis?

What do you use to clean it up?

Sometimes that flux can be a bitch to get off when in a tight area.

Sand blast, flap wheels, bench grinder with a wire brush, small files, sand paper, every dremel bit you have, elbow grease, luck, patience and a lot of beer or Mormon beer (pop!):lmao:

These southern buggies are tricky in more ways than one. Great job Tuner...very ambitious. It should look great after paint!"thumbsup" Following.

isn't that the truth! I've done everything but a bench grinder with a wire wheel and all of them are painstakingly tedious.

it seems like media blasting would be the most effective way of cleaning up something of this level?

wow that's a lot of cutting and fish mouthing props to you.

as to cleaning all my builds I wash the brazed joint under water just after its cooled a little removes the flux
had good results this way

This is amazing work. I am trying to plan my first chassis and this is almost discouraging! That is a lot of work that I don't think I could ever do. Good thing I'm going a much simpler route.

Thanks. This chassis was even discouraging for me at first but if you keep plugging at it and get in a grove you can even surprise yourself sometimes. Thanks for appreciating. "thumbsup"
