Great build thread! Thanks for sharin. I'm goin to build one so I can run pulls with my MGT 4.6!

Thanks,
Pyro

maybe he means that a truck with 1.9's on it causes the pan to 'dig' into the ground rather then slide on top of it when the tray locks the tires up. 2.2 rigs could actually be holding the pan up off the ground some and gives them an advantage at full lock.

looking at a lot of the TTC rigs they run 2.2 wheels and if hitch points and sleds are built for that then it could be a problem for 1.9s.

in real world pulling yes the pan rides level on the ground but hitch heights are also regulated to prevent guys from lifting the pan up off the deck.

maybe there should be a max hitch height off the ground on the trucks like 2" added to the rules "thumbsup" .........bob

I'd like to see an organized tractor pull that'd be awesome! I'm from TN and we have them at most fairs. Me n my buddies have a few vehicles built for pulling but not a real big crowd for it lol check out my youtube video of my tractor. It's cosmetically not finished but pulls awesome!

I'm currently building a tow rig and trailer for it but am also building an aluminum transfer sled. Ours however does not have wheels on the box therefore making it even harder to pull :flipoff: (steel on steel lol) and its pretty heavy so we don't have to add as much weight to it. The sled weighs like 25lbs plus whatever weight we add in the box.

Yeah for my $0.02 i think for the TTC a structured setup for the pulls should be regulated for a hook point because the higher up the hitch point is the easier it is to pull the sled.

Our sled has since been modified to max out at a shorter length near 20'.

The tractor has a 3500kv velineon motor, MMP esc, CC BEC, 4s, and weighs a total of 10 lbs including lead weights hanging off the front! Thanks for watching!
